Cowleys

I think it says everything that if you go on the Huddersfield forum, literally about 95% of the posts are saying its a bad decision, the clubs a joke etc... thanks for your efforts Cowleys.

Imagine if Monk got sacked on tomorrow, what would the posts be like on here. Most people would say its long overdue and its about time, why did it take so long etc. Even the pro Monk trolls probably would then admit it was to be expected. That tells you that most think Cowley did a good job at Huddersfield and most think Monk has done a poor job at Wednesday.

The fans on balance are usually right because they watch most of the games and know the situation at the club.

Hudds fan on my Facebook is shocked and disappointed by it. Dunno why some on here are trying to suggest he hasn't been any good for them.

Wow....here we go , another Owlstalk 'untouchable ' along with Megson, Jordan Rhodes and Sam Hutchinson.

By decree of the Gods of Owlstalk , the Cowleys have been granted lifelong support.

This happens when the great and good of 'Matchday ' just wont admit they were wrong about a footballing matter.

No matter how far down the pan the Cowleys career goes now, in the eyes of Owlstalk it will never be their fault.

If they do well elsewhere..God help us.

Rumour is the Cowleys got sacked for speaking to Bristol and rhey are odds on fav with the bookies.

Interesting, I did wonder when I first heard the news and for a second wondered if DC was sniffing around as he considered them before Monk.

Not sure how you have concluded that from this thread, there are detractors as well as supporters.

I don’t understand this done a good job at Huddersfield line ..??    They’ve stayed up , by the skin of there teeth , there an abysmal side ?  How is that not down to Cowley ?    Even Nixon is saying not surprised because of the poor football

Huddersfield is absolute doggo.  Little to do with the Cowleys, 10 months is no time to clear decks and get a system in place.

Why would we want someone who has done a pretty poor job at Huddersfield here ?? The Cowleys over hyped and under performed. Experience and someone who will get respect from the squad is what we are crying out for. If Monks not the man im pretty sure the Cowleys aren't either.

I don’t recall saying I wanted them as the management team.....I actually said that I believe that they have done a better job at Huddersfield than the clown we have has done here. As for a preference to Monk...I’d have Danny LaRue, never mind Danny Cowley

I don’t think they’ve failed there in the slightest. Highest level they have worked at and Huddersfield looked like going the same way as a few clubs have in the recent past shooting straight through from the premier to league one.

They’ll get a job somewhere else and I’m sure they will do a good job wherever that may be?

Think Monks here for at least the next transfer window. DC will give him that at least. The crunch will come with were we stand at xmas as it did for Jos. The truth is who would actually want the job and has a proven track record. Personally I think Monk may have burnt his bridges with the fanbase and will need a wonder season to turn it round. Can he provide that I have my doubts but in the short term he isn't going anywhere.

Back to their standard, League 1. The table doesn't lie. Not good enough at this level. Can't understand why people think they're great???

Fair play, they stepped up, but were found wanting.

Can't understand even less, why people are wanting to ignore their total failure at Huddersfield, surely they wouldn't have been sacked if they were a success????

I can't understand why anyone would want Monk to stay here after the clusterf**k of this season but there are some who do?

Alex Ferguson struggled in his first year at United. Look what happened there. Some people are too quick to judge and managers need a good 3-4 transfer windows to fully build the team they want and get their ethos across.

No time in football right now because of the money involved. Shame as it doesn’t necessarily make people bad managers.

Garry Monk would love ONE decent transfer window with all the abuse he gets!
