vulva
Borner was my MOTM today. Immense. Class above and could easily play at a higher level. One of the best examples of ‘first yard in the head’ players I’ve ever seen. Reminds me of Roland Nillson in that he seems to play at a different pace to everyone else. McRightSide
Looks like he’s extra cement applied to his hips for further toughness. Love old cement hips Börner

Deffo a cut cased by an elbow, most players would have been rolling on the floor like they had been shot, old school player tough as nails, nice to see instead of watching the cheats and pansies of today. oldishowl
He was also trying to make a point to the manager that he should be in the starting 11, which is exactly what Monk would want.
SiJ
We are rather blessed in the CB area right now. Lees has been excellent since coming back in, big Iorfa looks like a Premier League player in the future. Then you've got Borner who is just excellent. Came into today and just slotted right back in. Great competition.
DuttyTeabags
Iorfa Lees Borner Palmer Would keep out Liverpool front 3 no worries

For me, this was most pleasing aspect, been out a little while and came back like he'd never been away. An inch or two taller and he'd be plying his trade at a much higher level. As @vulva said, first yard in the head, absolutely superb. It's hard to imagine we'd be in a position where there's almost a sense of relief that we didn't get Hector.
Ellis Rimmer
Borner would be in the 1st team if lees weren't captain. Not that lees has been poor since back from injury
vulva
Borner is a combination of Madden and Emerson Thome.
Salmonbones
Quite a conundrum. I don't advocate playing a back three with these guys, but none deserve to be left out. When Iorfa went to right back today for a time he looked like he was a third centre back until he finally realised his new position.

hodgybysea
Got to say it looks like Herr Borner has spurred Tom Lees on to show he is still the man.Brilliant to see ,we are very lucky to have them both .
