WalthamOwl
Hope this is sorted by tomorrow. Let’s bloody move on and move on fast. Quicker we can get someone in to have as much of the pre season with us the better. It’s going to really put us on the back foot if we don’t. The next set will lose 2015/16 but gain 2018/19. we can lose appx 17 million in next years accounts , as we aint signed anyone for cash for sometime and have started to lose a lot of high earners a lot who hardly played we will be very competitive regards been able to pay wages , and no1 now needs to leave in order to get anyone else in ,a new manager would have to decide who he wants and don't want, the problem is deadline day is early this season is it around aug 9th? so even if a new manager came in next week he wouldn't have proper time to access the squad ,thanks a bunch bruce . Looking at the 2017/18 accounts just released, I would guess the 2018/19 accounts would show at least a £20M loss. The reduction in wages for the players we have just released won't show until the next year.

If we shift Rhodes out on loan as appears to be the objective, that would make a big difference too. Perhaps Winnall too. One big sale of Joao or Reach would give the most wriggle room. Elvin Parsnip
Bloody annoying this - they are probably the only Prem team who would give him a job and it’s his club - if Ashley wasn’t selling he wouldn’t even consider Bruce and will probably offer him a lot but not as much as a big name it’s the new owner who will have to pay him off so Ashley won’t care perfect storm of bad luck for us

S36 OWL
Re: The next manager? Quote Post by Ol' Dirty Bas Dost » Thu Jul 11, 2019 2:44 pm Does Bruce fully appreciate what he's getting himself into? In his shoes I'd steer well clear of Newcastle. He'll be barracked by the fans, likely disrespected by demotivated players, not given funds to sign anyone beyond the usual bare minimum loans, watch us get bulldozed by every club until he gets sacked in March next year probably. Kopparberg
It would be a big loss (feel like it is already in a way) but we’ve been pants for 20+ years.... what’s a few years more.
FinnishOwl
Funny how things turn. If Bruce goes to Newcastle, we and apparently Newcastle fans will eventually burn him. If Bruce says he's not going to Newcastle, or doesn't even comment the issue at all but Newcastle appoint someone else, we will burn him anyway. He can't actually win in any case, unless you consider only money. I would still expect him to have a nice pile of it already though, and he can easily get a few high-salary jobs before really retiring from the game. I don't think another owner will ever trust Bruce again so he'd better fill his boots. Btw... for all the Judas talk...RA is worth ten of SB imo.. 1
