Ever the pessimist
Was told today we are close to landing Nick Powell from Wigan, although one of the play off teams are also interested. Also, hooper will be moving somewhere nearer his midlands home, and Lee is waiting for our offer which had yet to arrive (although he had been told he will get one).

Oh dear, what is it with Bruce and players with dubious fitness records? You would have thought we might have learnt by now

Agree though that it would be nice to not have the Red Cross on standby all the time.

We can do this with loans, Young fit players from the top of the Premier, that was the plan Hope all these rumours are wide of the mark

I'd just hope we get ones that are wanting to run through walls for us. You got the impression that the likes of Onomah only fancied dangling a leg out once or twice a match and was probably desperate to get back to the safety of London and his Spurs pals. Bluesteel
Powell is another quality player but would fit more with the old transfer policy than the new one. He’s not exactly box to box these days and makes the pace of the game suit him. Sign of a good player who can do that but just seems at odds with the running requirements
s6 owl
Powell is another one who Bruce has liked for a long time so wouldn't be surprising if he does sign

Morepork
For fans this is always the toughest and most frustrating part of the year. Press and agents hard at work in their efforts to create news and generate interest in players. Those mentioned thus far do not meet the criteria Bruce has vocalised. Personally, I’ll find it unforgivable if we sign anyone with an above average record. Edited May 10, 2019 by Morepork

Guest
Powell’s had his injury’s but last 3 seasons he’s put in 21 ,39 and 32 appearances I wouldn’t be too concerned, and he’s definitely a very tidy player

He is a good player. Only 25 as well. Could possibly fit into the number 10 role if Bruce goes with 4231.

But then where do you play Reach Powell and Bannan would be an excellent partnership, with Hutchinson an option aswell , If you get a fit Keiren Lee back we could be talking about one of the best midfielders in the division again Gaffer would have some serious options, add a couple of wingers and were good to go
