If anyone expects us to have the kind of budget that would pay for one of the most expensive managers in the division and give him a budget to match this summer then they are kidding themselves. We have invested plenty in recent seasons and being 'serious about promotion' doesn't purely come down to how much you spend in every transfer window as others have proved. He has achieved plenty at this level before, I never said he was a bad manager - just that he would be a very expensive one, which doesn't fit with where we are currently.
