Much better than Rhodes. But if he wants to leave then so be it. Would personally like to see him given another crack here under Jos. But we could get a decent fee for him which would certainly help towards FFP.

Then again it wouldn't shock me if we've already agreed a fee with Derby and it's a fraction of his real worth.

If we already agreed a fee that would have been pre-injury.

we sign injured players all the time and offer them silly money, if a team really wants a player they will pay what they want to, times have changed when someones is only worth a certain amount because of something..madine £6,000,000 FML

So who have we signed that were already injured? Just curious.

too many to list, just think of players who are continuously injured or recover then get injured again, most of the Portuguese guys for example.

Sorry, but that is just since they arrived here. think most of the players with regular injuries in the last 2 years had good records at their previous clubs, so to say "we sign injured players all the time and offer them silly money" is simply not true.

As for Winnall

Take the £3m for him get his £18,000 a week off the wages and move on this is good business for us.

We won't miss him as we never really had him in the first place and have the other strikers in place so don't need to replace him.

Today’s going rate would be anything between 4m & 7m i would suggest with the length of contract he has.

Therefore we will get about 500k for him!!

He’s a better option than Rhodes but wouldn’t be too fussed to see him leave.

Don't even joke about it.

I haven't completely ruled this out with the way this season's gone.

£5million or fk off, re: Winnall.

Others clubs won't do us any favours, so why should we do them any?

exactly

Totally agree, especially as he clearly does not want to remain with us.

Hold out for a decent transfer fee for once, our player and decent record at this level.

To say we picked him up for peanuts, selling him on for a good fee could be the best bit of business we’ve done pretty much ever.

We’ll let him go for free waint we.

I saw in the local Derby press today that Sam Winnall has said that he wants to stay at Derby next season which I'm sure won't come as much of a surprise to many on here but looking on the Derby fans forum, the majority of their fans want to sign him "as long as the price it right"

https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/28714-winnall-wants-to-stay-at-derby/?page=4

It appears that Derby are in a similar predicament to us with regards to FFP and it got me thinking what price would you want the club to get for him if we were to sell?

Originally I'd have said £2-£3m but looking at the £6m fee Bolton got for Gary Madine, surely we should expect at least £5m for Winnall which would probably price him out of Derby's range.

Just wondered what everyone's thoughts were?

My thoughts are as follows........

FFP lol

Im more scared of the TV license detector van catching me lol

Won't play til after summer transfer window so can't see him going anywhere soon, and certainly not for big money.

Poss Jan transfer window if he plays games to prove his fitness.

Suppose if Derby don't commit to an early fee Owls could just recall him.
