Slow play, low on confidence and no fight. That’s why we lost, they were there for the taking and we let them back in. I agree with him, but he had enough time to get the message across. At 1-0 and 1-1 they had the chance to kill the game off with sideways football. This is it in a nutshell. There are times when you need to be pragmatic and protect what you've got, but there are times when you need to go for it. Norwich in the first half were as good as gone. They were hoofing hit & hope balls up front to no avail & their fans were starting to get impatient & turning on the team. We should have upped the tempo and tried to kill the game there & then, if we'd have conceded whilst going for the throat, so be it. It was screaming for us to kill the game. Even the Sky commentator said we were sitting back and were therefore playing a dangerous game, which obviously came back to haunt us. We have done this before on a number of occasions and I agree totally with the comment above and it is this aspect (not individual players, not Adam Reach, not anything else), it is our inability (or refusal) to 'risk' going for it when there is an obvious opportunity to do so. That game could have been over there & then in that middle period of the first half. We plodded around, tried to play possession, didn't up the tempo by even 1% and it all panned out in the way myself & everyone else knew it would. It was so predictable what we'd do in the second half i.e. sit back and try and hold onto a one nil win. Problem is we are appalling defensively, utterly woeful and have been all season. Even a team as poor as Norwich were going to get chances and they did so to deservedly win. The manager needs to go and the players should be ashamed of themselves. Norwich did not even break a sweat and still ran out comfortable winners. Let us be fair about it as well, Westwood pulled off a couple of good saves and they missed a sitter at 0-1.
