  1. We wouldn’t have gone down in the first place if we hadn’t got rid of him. In respect of the league table, it was fine margins that relegated us, he’d have won us the extra point or two that we needed. He’s too good for league 1. He’s a Championship player.
  2. FM21? Wait til you try and get him to invest in the youth team!
  3. DC isn’t a seller. His first reaction to getting relegated will obviously be getting promoted at the first time of asking. To do that you need Bannan playing regularly. I’m sure there’d be plenty of suitors at 4-5M. Getting promoted would be worth almost double that. I think DC will hold on to him and go for busy getting promoted and risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season. If I were DC I’d do the same.
  4. Does anyone know who scored for the under 18’s against Bristol City?
  5. My personal opinion is that if you understand football, Bannan’s quality and importance is undeniable. Those same fans who don’t appreciate Bannan, wanted shut of Atdhe too. Unbelievable. I’d have them both in a top 6 championship side- never mind the fact we are literally on the brink of League One.
  6. His creativity and control of the tempo in midfield justifies him a place in any midfield in this division.
  7. Exactly. He’s on a different level to most of the others. He constantly wants-and gets- the ball. The law of averages means he gives it away more. But his threaded through balls and the way he switches play, his intelligence, is outstanding.
  8. Genuinely not sure if you’re being serious or not??
  9. Were you watching a different game to me?Bannan was superb, his passing, invention, wanting the ball, he was our only outlet. He’s like that almost every week. He walks into any midfield in this division. Not sure what more you- or anyone who doesn’t rate him on tonight’s performance- want in a championship midfielder? Maybe the same fans who wanted Nuhiu out. My god we’ve missed him and he’d have certainly bagged tonight.
  10. How much did united’s squad cost the year they went up from league one? Not a lot I’m guessing? It’s do-able. Need the right recruiting method though or you end up with journeymen who are on the decline.
  11. The positive from all that is that there ARE decent players about for next to nothing. Look at United, every player they signed was a ‘nobody’. They got the chemistry right and look what happened. They’ve been found out now, but they reached the PL. It’s the recruitment and right manager. I don’t trust DC to put both in place. It can be done though but fear we need either a total shift in approach by DC or a new Chairman.
  12. As fed up as I am with the state of the club, the manner of defeat today, that comment couldn’t be further from the truth. One of the best midfielders in the league. Stats to prove it. Plain obvious to me even without them though.
  13. Roland would be an appointment that a chairman with a connection to the fans would consider. Until we get one of those,Roland won’t be anywhere near the frame for the job.
  14. Plenty of other football supporters like Hillsborough as it’s one of very few remaining ‘traditional’ grounds. Yes it needs some maintenance, and you’d hope that the next Chairman will spend some money on the ground. As for them over the city, I couldn’t care less. I’d rather be an Owl supporting a club in a tired old stadium than a Blade in a new stadium.
  15. Absolutely no way. West wasn't fit enough to lace Atdhe’s boots.
  16. Is the LS post still on here? Is it searchable?
  17. Anyone got any of his old videos that were posted on here a few years ago?
  18. If you look at my reply, I didn’t start the subject. It’s been done to death. He splits the fan base. I was simply responding to a sarcastic comment stating “Nuhiu in tomorrow to add to our lethal strike force”. I’m very much aware that everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. My opinion is that “Nuhiu coming in tomorrow” would be a coup and sadly a player of his calibre won’t be joining us for a few years yet, considering our current predicament.
  19. Letting him go was a shocking bit of business. We won’t be bringing a striker in of his ability for a few years. I genuinely mean that. If you know anything about the game you know he had ability.
  20. It was the defensive non football that he resorted to when we went 1-0 up through Fletcher against Hudders in the second leg that did us. We had them on the wrack and we let them off. They scrambled a goal and the rest is history. Best chance we could have had to get to the PL with Reading waiting in the final. It’s been down hill since. So far down hill that I’d be open to Carlos coming back. We are desperate for that but of charisma and attacking football that he brought. We should have progressed after Carlos left, our stock was high, but we picked the wrong successor. Our stock now is well below the level it was when CC left. The longer this new manager debacle goes on, the less and less attractive we become as a club for any potential managers. We are going to be left with a small pool of ‘yes’ men to choose from. Not overly confident about that.
