After 12 games last season  we had conceded 14 goals and had 4 clean sheets with 20 points in the bank

roll forward this season we have conceded 16 goals and had 2 clean sheets with 16 points 

 

tell me unless I am looking for a different team we are doing worse in all columns to last season not to mention we and scoring less also.

translates as: We will carry on playing boring, negative football that will result in a lot of possession but we won't be able to break teams down and we won't get the results we want.

According to CC we are working hard in training every week but we see little of that on the pitch imo.

Unfortunately, when we are compact and solid ...we are absolutely toothless once we get over the half way line.

 

And this is exactly the issue at the minute.

(P.S. It'll be interesting to see if he's so adamant that the defence is fine on Saturday. I'm assuming we'll see an unchanged back four at Derby, in that case.)

Bring back Loovens and Westwood. Loovens organises the defence and gets the best out of Lees. If Westwood can get over his early season wobbles he can make the difference in a tight game.

 

Nothing against Van Aken, he looks to be a star in the making but he's nor ready yet.

To be fair - if Wildsmith hadn't have had a brainfart, and we'd finished chances that should have been finished - we'd have beaten Bolton comfortably.

 

Our rickety defence has been an issue though - we've given away far too many chances.

It is a problem, for all the money weve spent we still could use a good left back, a better third choice centre half and an experienced 2nd choice keeper.

Since Loovens has been out the defence has been wretched, apart from a battling win and clean sheet at Fulham. The problem is absolutely defensive.

well Reach got murdered against blunts and Bolton, Parkin played on him cause he saw him as a weak link, didnt cc see the problem

I'm trying to think of any full back we've had in recent times,that allows the winger to get crosses into the box,as much as Jack Hunt does.Most of the time he's nowhere near the player.
