@owlstalk
"In reality in the last games, especially the last one, we took risks and left open spaces which makes it look like we are weak in defence, but when we play compact like a team and very solid (we've worked hard on this this week) and hard to beat, so it's not a defensive problem we have" Owlstalk Shop
room0035
After 12 games last season we had conceded 14 goals and had 4 clean sheets with 20 points in the bank roll forward this season we have conceded 16 goals and had 2 clean sheets with 16 points tell me unless I am looking for a different team we are doing worse in all columns to last season not to mention we and scoring less also. Cheshowl
translates as: We will carry on playing boring, negative football that will result in a lot of possession but we won't be able to break teams down and we won't get the results we want. WalthamOwl
According to CC we are working hard in training every week but we see little of that on the pitch imo.

OWLS about that?
He's lost the plot. He's spouting out some absolute drivel lately. He'll be going on about badgers and badges next
upperwinngardensowl
So basically, we attack too much and leave gaps at the back? mmm
@owlstalk
Just now, upperwinngardensowl said: So basically, we attack too much and leave gaps at the back? mmm Maybe Carlos is considering employing a more defensive kind of football in the next game? frastheowl
He's right. Unfortunately, when we are compact and solid ...we are absolutely toothless once we get over the half way line. And this is exactly the issue at the minute. BALANCE. And we've got none. And there's one bloke to blame for that. And his picture is in the opening post. (P.S. It'll be interesting to see if he's so adamant that the defence is fine on Saturday. I'm assuming we'll see an unchanged back four at Derby, in that case.) prowl
Bring back Loovens and Westwood. Loovens organises the defence and gets the best out of Lees. If Westwood can get over his early season wobbles he can make the difference in a tight game. Nothing against Van Aken, he looks to be a star in the making but he's nor ready yet.

McRightSide
To be fair - if Wildsmith hadn't have had a brainfart, and we'd finished chances that should have been finished - we'd have beaten Bolton comfortably. Our rickety defence has been an issue though - we've given away far too many chances.
robowl4life
What ever happened to the mentality we'll win games 4-3?! So we're going to try grind out a draw and set up like the weaker teams always do to stop better teams playing. Wtf is going on?!
sweetsheri
Jva needs to get on the gym. Madine brushed him off the ball easiky on sat. Also at 6'6 he's not very commanding in the air? Work in progress. Loovens starts every time if fit
trask43
It is a problem, for all the money weve spent we still could use a good left back, a better third choice centre half and an experienced 2nd choice keeper.
mcmigo
He is smoking something. Since Loovens has been out the defence has been wretched, apart from a battling win and clean sheet at Fulham. The problem is absolutely defensive.
debram
well Reach got murdered against blunts and Bolton, Parkin played on him cause he saw him as a weak link, didnt cc see the problem

Imre Varadi
I'm trying to think of any full back we've had in recent times, that allows the winger to get crosses into the box,as much as Jack Hunt does. Most of the time he's nowhere near the player.
