Main point is we have a brand new defence and a hard start to season so maybe a simplified back 4 may be a more prudent approach initially. shezzas left peg Posted August 1, 2022 Share Posted August 1, 2022 We caused most of our woes ourselves .individual errors lack of concentration ,not tracking runners .losing the player we should be marking..we had players getting their positioning wrong stopping us from attacking the ball from a defensive standpoint. Tommy Crawshaw Posted August 1, 2022 Share Posted August 1, 2022 I think a lot are just disappointed that after leading twice we only came away with one point. There is also a little more pressure on the MK game now. We picked up 6 points from the corresponding two games last season to these first two. 2 points or less from them wouldn't be great. Automatic promotion has to be the aim this season and for that you have to be consistently picking up wins pretty much from the start. We'll see where we are by the end of August after we've played 6 games. If we haven't won 2 of them at least, then questions might start to be asked.
