As bad a signing as Rhodes turned out to be, I don't believe he gave anything less than 100% in a Wednesday shirt. In terms of money vs performance, it has to be either Rhodes or De Bilde; not sure what Jeffers was on, but I'd imagine his wages were pretty high. We needed that final push to get us over the line and he ticked every box. Rhodes falls into the hindsight part of the Venn diagram. Jeffers is the worst signing ever. We spent money we didn’t have, every penny of it, at the last minute in a panic, on a player who had never done much, and was usually injured.
