Celtic are closing in on sealing a deal for Matt O’Riley from Milton Keynes Dons, according to The Athletic.

Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou has already bolstered his squad in this window but is keen on further additions, with midfield a priority.

Postecoglou zeroed in on Dons star O’Riley and Celtic have been working on getting a deal over the line for him.

And the Hoops are now close to striking a deal with the League One side for the 21-year-old, which will see them pay £1.5m.

O’Riley is expected to complete a move north of the border in the coming days and link up with Postecoglou at Celtic Park

Weakens a rival. Good player O’Riley

Noticed that Att is also following Kyrell Lisbie. Young attacking player in the Watford academy. Seems a bit of a rogue person to follow, so perhaps he’s joining our development squad?

Son of former Charlton forward Kevin Lisbie.

A couple of trialists played for our under 23’s just now so could be one

Young striker Colin Oppong is on trial with Sheffield Wednesday after leaving Ipswich Town at the end of 2021.

Northern Ireland-born striker Oppong has been in action for the Owls’ U23s at Peterborough this afternoon, having played for Birmingham’s U23s in their 2-2 draw with Burnley last week.

It had been understood that the 19-year-old’s Town contract was up at the end of this month, however, his terms in fact ran to the end of December when he left the club.

The other unfamiliar name in that line-up was Humphries. No idea who he is though.

We deffo need another up top who can score goals to help Windass when he's fully in the team that's for sure,if he gets injured again playoffs will be gone...

UTO

I’d be surprised if we brought another forward in TBH. I think we’ll go with what we’ve got. We might get a bit more from Sow and Moore still believes in Berahino who I think will have his moments before the end of the season.

Would love Defoe here. Real football legend in this country.

He would be a truly awful signing he was past his best 4 or 5 years ago and so far this season has played just 8 minutes of competitive football.

it's a massive no way for me.

Storey coming in is good business. Means that in time Johnson can go back to LWB and Storey play CB instead.

We still need a left footed guy too though as Gibson is never available so he needs to be cleared off and someone replace him. I expect to see this being Beevers unfortunately

Owen Humphries is an attacking midfielder who was earlier on trial with Birmingham and scored in their 1:1 draw with Stoke.
