  1. Mate one of the biggest pluses for the Bengals against Minnesota for me was the D-Line. Looked even better in that game than it did with Dunlap and Atkins towards the end of their time in Cincy. Early days but if they can keep up that level we will be in a good place. Chicago will be favourites but it’s a game we can win for sure.
  2. The Raiders did surprisingly well. Who would have thought Pittsburgh and Cincinnati would be ahead of Cleveland and Baltimore after the opening fixture? They are still a strong side but I agree it won’t be as good now as some were expecting. I think the Browns should win the division comfortably given the breadth of talent they have, but after that with the Ravens injuries there could be opportunity for Pittsburgh again. Possibly Cincy too if we keep our key players healthy and get a bit of luck. I still expect Baltimore to finish second but they are a few injuries away from disaster. Dobbins is a big loss for their rushing attack for sure, he looked like he was going to have a big second season, and with Edwards out for the season too they’re seriously short. It’s a good job for them that Jackson is effectively a RB and a QB Marcus Peters is the biggest lost for them though at Corner. He is a top top player. They will miss him big time
  3. Yeah Bears is a winnable game for sure. I was a wee bit worried too for Burrow when I saw him clutching his leg but Mixon was rushing well and I don’t think if there is an issue he is that bad mate. I’m hoping if anything it was a wee niggle. He was on the exercise bikes afterwards and seemed ok so he can’t be that bad.
  4. I think we are a season or 2 away but if we draft well again in the next 2 we will be competitive. I still think the Browns and Ravens are the 2 to beat but you never know we could both make a run and get up there! You’re more likely I think with the strength of your defence but I’m hopeful of a good season and we’ve made a good start. The Browns were incredible in the first half at Arrowhead and they will take some stopping this season. I know they lost but they have strength in so many areas, Baker looks good, and their rush attack is frightening. Although if Jedrick Wills their Tackle is out for any lengthy period that will be a huge blow for their offence. He’s a huge player. We are definitely heading in the right direction mate and like you say there should be some close and interesting games in the North this year. I’m looking forward to our game too!
  5. Tomlin is a good coach, he’s very experienced and he will design his plays to fit in with Ben’s limitations. That was a hell of a comeback for your guys and your D like you say looks excellent again. Yours was performance of the day for me alongside Arizona against the Titans. Two unexpected wins. Ours was a bit of a shock too in Cincinnati but I’m happy and it was well deserved
  6. I think we were well deserving of the win mate. We should have won it in normal time nevermind OT. The Vikings were lucky to get it to OT I thought, but it was a hell of a kick at the end from them to take it there. And an even better performance from McPherson for us and it justifies spending a draft pick on a kicker. He looks a real find! We got a break with the fumble but it was inconclusive from the camera angles and the referees had called it a fumble on the field so the decision had to stand. To overturn it they had to have conclusive proof and I don’t think there was. And without that stupid decision from Zac to go for it on 4th down in our own half with a 10 point lead we would have been comfortable. Nearly a total fuckup but the right result in the end.
  7. Agree 100%. I saw this posted in a Bengals forum that I’m on and it’s almost identical. One was called OPI, the other not. They got very lucky with that call.
  8. Having patience is fine, and yes it is a long season with plenty of points still to play for, but getting beat of diddy poo like Morecambe and hammered off another diddy team in Plymouth should never be acceptable
  9. You should be confident tbf. I think (and hope) it will be your year and then it will be down to 11 teams that have never won a Super Bowl. And then 10 in 2025 when Burrow leads the team to the title Forgetting the obvious in the Chiefs, I agree that the Titans look very strong in the AFC too, and they are definitely another in with a shout of winning a first SB too. Browns are capable too and they along with the Ravens should storm our division. I just hope it’s not Brady again!
  10. AFC North: 1. Browns 2. Ravens 3. Bengals 4. Steelers AFC South: 1. Titans 2. Colts 3. Jags 4. Texans (0-17 a possibility IMO) AFC West: 1. Chiefs 2. Broncos 3. Chargers 4. Raiders AFC East: 1. Bills 2. Dolphins 3. Patriots 4. Jets NFC North: 1. Vikings 2. Packers 3. Bears 4. Lions NFC South: 1. Bucs 2. Saints 3. Falcons 4. Panthers NFC West: 1. Rams 2. Seahawks 3. 49ers 4. Cardinals NFC East: 1. Football Team 2. Cowboys 3. Giants 4. Eagles Super Bowl: Bills win v Bucs MVP: Josh Allen Defensive POTY: Chase Young
  11. Probably rules that out then. Last time I listen to that pal about info
  12. Hearts have a Billionaire benefactor so theoretically it’s not impossible. It’s surprisingly quiet on the Hearts forum, looks like my pal is talking pish
  13. Only going off what a mate has said to me. I’m not ITK and never claim to be just passing on what I’ve heard. I imagine it would be a loan but don’t know.
  14. Rejoining Hearts I’m told. Deal to be done this evening
  15. Comedy footballer John Lundstram doing his stuff again. He’ll be out the door in January I reckon.
  16. Hilarious the Blades are in the bottom 3 and got hammered. Absolutely no chance they’re bothering the promotion slots this season with the attacking options they’ve got. And Hearts flop Ikpeazu banging another in for Colin. There’s some right dogshite that Hearts have let go scoring goals down south. Big Uche, Stockton in League 1, Washington at Charlton. Terrible footballers the lot of them.
  17. True with McGregor too. He’s ancient as well To be fair experience is a big thing and keepers can play to a fair age in any league. Gordon was the best keeper in the league when he was young and with us first time round too. We’ve got a young laddie Harry Stone who looks like he’s going to the top too. He’s out on loan at the minute getting game time but Gordon has been doing a lot of work with him. We will probably get another year out of Craig in the first team and then Harry will be the natural successor. If we can then keep him for 2/3 years we will be doing well before he moves on to bigger things.
  18. It was at Celtic Park mate and 3-2 flattered us sadly. If it wasn’t for Craig Gordon it would have been 7 or 8. The best keeper in the league, we are very lucky Craig is a Hearts man. Joe Hart did nothing other than pick the ball out the net twice Pretty grim for our ex boys that they didn’t even getting subbed on in the league cup. They’ll be loaned out pretty soon I reckon
  19. Says it all about League 1 then. I’ve seen a lot of crap over the years but Cole Stockton is hands down the worst striker I’ve seen at Hearts in 35 years watching the club. That boy was absolute dogshite
  20. Only a preseason game but the Bengals won in Tampa yesterday with the rookies getting a good run out. Pass rush looked good and Brady was sacked on the first drive. Undoubtedly still a team in transition, and the AFC North will be very tough this year, Baltimore and Cleveland should dominate and have huge winning seasons but overtaking Pittsburgh has to be in our sights. I’m hoping for a 3rd placed season with more game time and experience for Burrow and the new players. Some positive signs for the next few years in Cincinnati.
  21. Bannan is going to be absolutely pivotal to our season and our chances of success. Nice to see him chipping in with a goal today too. That’s probably the one part of his game that I think hasn’t been that impressive. He should score more and contribute more goals.
  22. Going to get beat by Hearts for a second time this season hopefully
  23. Liam has been a cracking servant to the club and he is living the dream. We are lucky to have him
  24. If it was a choice of living in Paris or Manchester I know what I’d choose too to be fair
