Gurujuan January 2022 Transfer Window MEGATHREAD

Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly enquired about taking Aden Flint on loan for the rest of the season.

Over the last few days, the centre back has been the subject of interest from Sunderland, if reports up in the north east are to be believed, with the player's contract at Cardiff up in the summer.

Now, The Star up in Sheffield claim the Owls made an approach to take the 32-year-old back on loan until the end of the season.

Flint enjoyed a successful, albeit brief, loan stint up at Hillsborough when he was out of favour at Cardiff at the back end of 2020, however a horrible hamstring injury, which required surgery, ended his time there.

unfortunately the star are also reporting that Cardiff don’t want to loan him out. Shame because he would be a great signing imo.

Brighton & Hove Independent are reporting that Cardiff City, Nottingham Forest and the Swans are all set to miss out on a move for Albion defender Haydon Roberts who appears to be heading to a League One club – possibly Sheffield Wednesday.

Hold on, how are we beating Championship clubs to this?

I thought Premier league clubs wouldn't loan us players anymore?

Cos believe it or not Brighton were impressed with how DM handled Taylor Richards when on loan at Donny. But some of our know it all fans think cos of what happened regarding Corbeanu they think teams won't touch us with a barge pole. And that's why they are that... just fans

You have to remember DM was a youth team coach.

The way he handled Corbeanu will not have shown well to top clubs looking to loan out there exciting young players,  no 2 ways about it

I don't see the point in trying to sign Flint who will be on silly money for us. When we have brought in Storey, we have Brennan and Hutch, then Dunkley and Iorfa to come back from injury.

Why sign an aging player on big money when you can give youth players a chance to develop.

I heard before DM, came here he developed youth players, all I have seen since he has been here is youth given no chance, then only get a chance when other players playing out of position, get injured and no one else is available and then players like Brennan do well and Moore drops as soon as a senior player returns.

You are not going to develop players this way, I would rather see 20 games of Brennan, than 20 games of Flint, that is of course if he last 20 games he was broke after 2 the last time we wasted money on him.

Teams loan out young players to develop them, they don't loan out them out to see them say on the bench or playing out of position.

wolves have a young Canadian international that is an exciting attacking player, DM was playing as a wing back after first not playing him for the first dozen games.

Teams will look at this and also as has been seen these players will go elsewhere.

Sort of signing we should be looking at?? 🤔

Bolton Wanderers are set to make an offer for Haringey Borough defender Tyrese Owen, according to reports.

Derby County were reportedly due to take Owen on trial but the Rams are no longer able to sign players due to a new embargo from the EFL.

The Whites are one of several Football League clubs interested in the 21-year-old, according to Football Insider.

Owen – who stands at 6ft 5in – has impressed since joining Haringey over the summer and can also play in a holding midfield role.

Think Sunderland inquired about flint, we was into bathh, flint too expensive or Cardiff not both so Sunderland moved onto bathh? We probably inquired about flint at same time but once Sunderland decided to give bathh what he wanted we moved quickly for storey? It’s transfer merry go round that happens every window. Be surprised if we got the Brighton hid in front of championship clubs ? Is it right he only just coming back from a serious injury??

Agree completely but if we can’t even offer a tenner as a fee we screwed until summer when we can pay fees again? If derby thought their takeover was going to be complete by January they probably had a deal sorted but ob that now gone t-ts up !

Should be but the word ‘offer’ puts us straight out of the picture due to the restrictions.
