Call it a hunch, but I think most people were hoping to still watch Sheffield Wednesday.

I'd rather a lot of things in regards to this club. All logic has pointed towards an inevitable for some time.

We don't just need a new owner any more, we need a hero and miracle worker

It's f*cked.

Even if he scrapes together the outstanding cash, then what?

Completely and utterly f*cked.

If its announced he does scrape the cash then you'll see the fanboys wetting themselves silly over it.

Fact is that if it does get resolved it'll only be another papering over the cracks moment with the next sh!tshow awaiting its moment.

What about closed season when there's no income either, staff wages still have to be paid.

I bet the company relaying the pitch are getting a bit concerned.

Not that I'm doubting the story or anything but how can we possibly owe the players approximately 50% or more of the entire year's wage budget for two months underpaid wages?

Think the story is stretching the truth somewhat

For a start it's 3 months. And it includes end of season loyalty bonuses

Sheffield Wednesday players are wanted by the PFA to ‘submit claims for missing wages and bonuses’, reports The Sun on Sunday (06/06/21, pg. 63), as it’s been revealed that they’re owed upwards of £12million by the club.

Sheffield Wednesday players have been paid less than what they are owed, and with some having ‘end-of-season loyalty payments’ which have not been paid, for the past four months now.

That’s according to a report in The Sun on Sunday this morning, with Alan Nixon reporting that the Owls playing staff are wanted by the PFA to submit claims regarding their underpayments as rows over wage rumble on at the club.

‘Insiders’ have revealed to The Sun on Sunday that the total amount owed to the players is £12million – and it ‘has to be paid or the players can approach the EFL to complain’, writes Nixon, who then writes how a complaint could lead to a possible points penalty next season.

The players though are thought to be ‘reluctant’ in taking that action, whereas those who’ve already left ‘have no such concerns on that front’.

They seem to get paid monthly, every week.

it was only 2 weeks ago, they hadn’t been paid for 2 months. Now it’s 4 o the.

Obviously, it’s terrible club management, but it would be good to get some actual facts.

Chansiri is obviously an utter disgrace, however as are the EFL. They are allowing these charlatans to buy historically important clubs and run them into the ground. It is atrocious what is being allowed to happen here and elsewhere, with what happened at Wigan even more disgusting than what is happening here. F.uck off Chansiri.

Not really

The bonuses will be a massive part of this

Plus it’s three months not two for starters

The players approaching efl is like them stabbing themselves in foot for next season as they'll get points deducted. No players concern for club just care about lining pockets.

But the players that have left and not been paid won't give one will they.

Sounds a lot but it’s like the total cost of Rhodes

The club has had money yet wasted it as bad as anyone could have dreamed of.

(not blaming Rhodes - the figure is just for comparison)

It's a lot when you havent got it.
