Let’s be fair Jamie Vardy sums up this club

Don’t think I need to say much more, football legend, should be ours, wants to be ours, wasn’t his own doing, isn’t our own doing just sums up the SWFC mess

Why another dig at the club. If he had stayed you would probably be slating him as another failure. He just wasn't at it when he was here.

It took going to lower leagues for years to improve. Some of our fans won't give a player 5 games to improve let alone 5 seasons.

Sorry but he was never crap. When he was released there was a fad based around biometrics relating to the size of a child’s parents. Vardy was released because of his size not his ability.

How did Bannan and Wallace make it?

Most clubs aren't full of players that 'support' them. He would have moved on anyway because nowhere in our recent history would we have been able to keep hold of someone who could potentially score 100+ Prem goals and play for England.

Equally he could have been the catalyst for the club to sign better players who could support him.

Sorry. Not true

Trust me. It’s 100% true.

Remember the day England lost the World Cup bid to Russia? I was in the Park Hotel. Let’s just say his behaviour was not that of an athlete.

I have spoken / been in the conversation with him since. Total change of attitude which he readily admits.

He was released cos as a kid he was a bit of a willy. Was warned, didn't change, so was made to pack his bags.

End of the day though, had he have stayed with us he wouldn't be where he is now that's for sure. He'd probably be a league 2 level striker. His non league days made him what he is now.

Too young for Big Rons era ( think he would have been sensational with Ron at the helm.)

Not a tip tappie player...wouldn't have got a look in' in CC's team.

Might have been ok with Megsons team along with Antonio..but overall just wrong place wrong time.

As with some managers, sometimes everything just clicks into place, keeping it going is the hard bit.

He'd have been a nobody if he'd stayed here. Getting players to hit their potential just isn't what we do is it.

If we'd have kept him he'd have become nothing

Grow up with the negativity

Both false statements.

Errr, you have negativity built into your poster name genius.

for 5m though...would have been a huge gamble at the time

Yes then we spent 10m on Rhodes.

Imagine Vardy running onto bazza Hollywood balls.??

Even if he hadn't have scored that many Hooper would have playing off him. Would have given us two things we seemingly wasn't bothered about, blistering pace and 100% workrate.

Was a good few years in-between Jamie Vardy leaving Wednesday and being a star player for Leicester.

Some players are late developers or need a kick up the backside of a club letting them go.

Sure every club has a story like Vardy that they have let go and then went onto big things.
