Brentford - Wednesday OMDT

Our opponents in the league have worked out how to play against us.

1. Come out of the traps quickly. We often start games slowly, especially defensively, and are likely to give the ball away in dangerous areas when pressed.

2. having grabbed an early goal , possibly 2, a number of things then happen. bannan drops deeper to try and help the defence and stop us conceding more, and to get on the ball with a bit more space. Our wingers then tuck in and back to get the ball from bannan and the full backs.

3.  We then look to get out by playing longer balls. But don’t have the pace to get in behind . So the opponents centre backs , much like the grand old duke of York, March their back 4 up the pitch knowing the chances of dropping one behind and being outpaced are slim. As long as you push Murphy back , the only player with real ability and running speed, then the run in behind is neutralised.

Brentford will do the above to the letter today. If we concede in that first 20 mins, which will be Brentford’s number 1 priority in the game, we are dead and will lose.

It is as predictable as it is pathetic.  we are the easiest team in the whole league to play against tactically. It’s a broken record every single match.

If he doesn't go, can't we have at least a decent number 2?

I'm still thinking about what would have been if we got the two brothers that went to Huddersfield. They seemed the guys that would build the club for the future.

This is just embarrassing.

These players are a disgrace.  They played like warriors on Wednesday night, playing up to the cameras against the big boys.  Yet again today, cameras off, they don't care.

There are elements of talent missing throughout the team but the biggest thing we're missing is effort.  You could see on Wednesday night every single one of them ran 10% harder.  They're walking again today.  I don't feel like I can blame Monk for that other than to suggest he clearly isn't able to motivate them.  My question is though, can anyone?

Monk is the manager, this is a big part of his job.

Pelupessy was picked out as 'running around a lot' but not actually doing anything productive on Wednesday, he still gets a game. Wildsmith looked more assured than Dawson has for weeks, Dawson comes back in.

Game of before half-time AGAIN! Brentford haven't won for 5 games, we are such a soft touch.

The players haven't the guts, the manager hasn't..seemingly a clue....

Brian Laws - mentions supporters leaving and says he doesn’t like to see it and says he feels sorry for the manager

Hang on mate.... WE are the ones paying for this. WE are the ones who anyone should feel sorry for.

Maybe it’s time the fans turned their backs on this set of wasters. Instead of clapping them on or off the field, the whole stand should face the other way and send a message.
