sheriwozgod
Westwood - 6 Couple of shaky early moments otherwise OK Odubajo - 6 Looks good going forward but vulnerable when attacked Lees - 8 Solid Borner - 9 Really impressive display Fox - 7 First things first the lads job is to defend and he made 2 or 3 brilliant blocks tonight which got him an extra point , however I don't join in with the general view that he was MOM material as his distribution and first touch especially first half was poor. Hutchinson - 6 Shouldn't start two games in four days IMHO...….seemed to take an age to get into it tonight, decent 2nd half Reach - 5 Awful first half, disinterested, shirking challenges , giving the ball away...………...had a mad 20 mins at start of 2nd before fading, should start on bench Saturday Bannan - 7 Got better as the night wore on Murphy - 6 Poor first half, much better second Fletcher - 7 Worked his nads off Harris - 9 Superb , just what we have been missing for the last 3 years...…...I,m scared about possible bids in January already SUBS Winnall - 5 Looks very rusty, needs 90 mins against Rotherham Luongo - 7 What a goal that nearly was !!!!! OVERALL The first half had me very worried, as bad as some of last years early displays but thankfully better in the second. I stand by the assertion that we look a top half side but maybe just shy of top 6...……….hopefully that will change.
Flat Owl
Börner. Harris a very close 2nd. Fletch superb when should have had someone alongside him from the word go.
frastheowl
Westwood - 6 - Fairly quiet game, especially 2nd half. Error first half, but reacted well to tip the speculative shot over. Odubajo - 7 - Steady performance. Thought he was one of the few players who could hold their head up at half time, and maintained it 2nd half. Defended well when required, and offered good support going forward. Lees - 8 - Brilliant centre half performance, and yet again, when he’s got a partner he trusts and performs, so does he. He and Börner complement each other brilliantly. Börner - 9 - MotM- I think I’ve described him as “immaculate” three times this season already. But he just doesn’t put a foot wrong. Reads the game effortlessly. Fantastic display. Fox - 7 - Looked shaky early on, and that lack of confidence showed when in possession. Seemed to lack support to Harris, however, he defended solidly throughout and got better as the game went on. Crucial block late on. Hutchinson - 7 - Looked off the pace in the 1st half...anonymous almost. However, seemed to be encouraged to press higher in the 2nd half, and his natural game began to flourish. Bannan - 6 - He was abysmal in the 1st half. Lost possession time after time, and was the main catalyst for us looking so disjointed. Upped it greatly in the second half, played a tad deeper and found a bit more space. Dictated things from then on. Reach - 6 - Like Bannan, awful 1st half and was fortunate not to be dragged at half time. Seemed to go and play alongside Fletcher in the 2nd half which improved things. Harris - 8 - He was our only hope in the 1st half, but was left without any support whatsoever. 2nd half, he was given the ball in more dangerous areas and Luton afforded him the space he was denied early on. Another goal, and unfortunate not to provide an assist for Murphy’s header. Murphy - 7 - Struggled 1st half to get in the game, but became a real threat as the game progressed. Great anticipation and fantastic chip to the back stick for the goal. Should’ve scored his header and was unfortunate following a great jinking run. Fletcher - 7 - Really felt for him 1st half, battled away, won a decent amount but was so isolated. Continued to compete 2nd half, got more joy with closer support. Superb header for the goal, and unfortunate to be offside for his disallowed goal. Winnall - 6 Luongo - 7 Lee - 6 Overall... Chalk and cheese. There were some worrying signs 1st half. Too many issues we’ve seen too often previously. 2nd half was better and the direct threat of Murphy & Harris continue to be the difference. Another game we’ve won where we’ve ceded possession. 3 out of 3 now. I think it’ll continue to be a trait we see this season, where our counter pressing & counter attacking game suits us naturally. We’re going to have to to find a way of winning games when teams ceded possession to us (like Millwall), but we’ll enjoy the good start whilst it lasts. legendaryswan
Borner for me,9 really stood out. 8s to harris and fletcher & Tom Lees,Harris is a constant threat, cheers colin ya to$$er,Fletch worked tirelessly without much support in the first half 7s accross the board apart from Reach 6 who playing in a less accustomed central role has really not fired at all this season
britpunk77
Harris for me the lad was consistently threatening.

beswetherick
Westwood - 6.5 - hardly had owt to do after saving in the first half from his dodgy clearance Odubajo - 6.5 - got caught out positionally a couple of times but pace got him out of trouble Lees - 7.5 - solid, typical Lees performance Börner - 9 - excellent Fox - 7 - solid defensively but offers no attacking threat Hutch - 7 - almost invisible first half, much better second, don’t think he needed to play the full 90 but he doesn’t pick the team Reach - 5.5 - poor... not a CM but needs to buck his ideas up because he has a lot of very good players to compete with now Bannan - 6.5 - not his best game but didn’t really do anything wrong that I can remember Harris - 9 - terrific, great attitude, runs his socks off, genuinely two footed, deserved his goal. We’ve got a real gem of a player here Murphy - 7 - poor first half, much better second. Left Odubajo stranded a couple of times. Good work for the goal but should’ve hit the target with that header later on Fletcher - 8 - led the line well, another very effective performance Subs weren’t really on long enough to make an impact but I liked what I saw of Luongo, would’ve preferred him to come on sooner for Reach
Guest Kagoshimaowl
Westwood 7 Odubajo 6. Gives away silly free kicks Lees 7 steady Borner 9 Outstanding Fox 6.5 appalling going forward but excellent defensively Hutchinson 6 Bannan 6 not much came off tonight Reach 4 anonymous again. Play him on the wing or bench him Murphy 6 poor overall but helped set up the goal Harris 8 excellent again. Another goal and frightening pace Fletcher 6 not great but still an assist and unlucky not to score Winnall 4 how slow is he? He makes Rhodes look like a Lamborghini! Luongo 7 nice cameo. Did more in 10 minutes than Reach all game Lee 6 Poor performance overall but a win is a win! Onwards and upwards!!

S26 Owl
Westwood - 7 didnt do a lot wrong. Few shaky moments but organised them well. Odubajo - 6 good energy and speed, moves out of position a lot at times. Lees - 7 solid as ever Börner - 10 unreal. Won everything all night. However he HATES being in possession, always poos it and gives it to the nearest person (whos normally 1 yard from them) Fox - 8 glad he shut a few of the moaners up. People expect him to do too much offensively and hes not got it in his locker, however defensively he's solid. Murphy - 6 good running at the start, tired throughout and shouldve been replaced by FF on 60 mins Reach - 5 still dont see what he brings personally. Especially at centre mid, most moves get slowed down when he gets the ball. Not fast or skillful enough to get past a man. Hutchinson - 7 busy, solid and everywhere Bannan - 7 ran the show possesion wise and love his passion but cant help thinking the players look to give it to him too much Harris - 9 if theyre RB wasn't the fastest player in the world he would have absolutely ripped them to shreds. Works so hard and always a threat, few wrong choices in good positions Fletcher - 7 ran the show up top and pressured. Winnall - 4 maybe seeing why the 4 other managers before Bullen didnt fancy him. Only on for 10 mins and did very little pressing and tracking back. Bullen shouldve changed it before he did, mainly Murphy for FF. But overall another game over and 3 points secured. Theyre RB was the only reason we didnt batter them as everything went down Harris' side and he dealt with him well. Borner and Harris unreal

upperwinngardensowl
Given it Harris, just over Borner, Fletch and Hutch. only real disappointment was Winnall who scores for fun elsewhere but looks fat and slow for us.
Bez
Westwood 5 - Flappy and out of sorts Odubajo 6 - Better when he presses near the halfway line Lees 6 - Plays people onside all the time. Average. Borner 9 - ROCK SOLID. Superb. Love him. Fox 8 - Great performance defensively. Wasn't allowed to get forward so offered little there. Hutch 6 - Some great tackles, some stupid free kicks. Bannan 6 - Didn't notice him much. Calm in possession but lost it a few times. Poor final product. Reach 4 - Very poor and offers nada. Murphy 6 - Very poor for spells and then turned it on and was a threat. Fletcher 7 - Offside loads, wasted chances but got an assist and won some decent flick ons. Harris 9 - What a lad. Fast and always a threat. Subs rated for performance during time on pitch: Winnall 6 - Needs longer to make an impact. Luongo 8 - Looks a good signing with intent in both directions. Lee 6 - Didn't do much. Edited August 20, 2019 by Bez
