I agree, although I'd imagine Jos & co welcome the break as a chance to take stock

I'll have to get my footy fix elsewhere

I think BBC are showing both Wales U21 games on the red button - maybe worth a watch if Ash Baker plays?

And their coverage of the FA Cup prelims includes Maltby v Frickley live on Sat'dy 12.30 ko

Watched the previous round on my laptop - Prestwich v Radcliffe

Hardly a thriller but marginally more exciting than last year's final

Maltby v Frickley should have some proper waist high tackles in it..

Scargill guest of honour, if his chauffeur can get him there from his penthouse in London

Do you get a trophy if you win this Euro Nations thingy?

It probably sounds more complicated than it is, but I'm sure there'll be something at the end for Infantino to hand over

The league system makes the most sense ...

... it means teams at the lower levels will pit themselves against sides of equal stature

They might actually get used to winning rather than just trying to frustrate opponents and/or strangle games to death

Plus promotion and relegation between leagues should keep things competitive

Haven't Sky bought exclusive rights to this competition?

I'd be up for it if games were live on terrestrial tv

Bit like European nights, I used to look forward to those

Lost all interest once BT cornered the market, don't even bother watching the highlights

I'd be up for it if the extra terrestrial was commenting.

Be good.

That's if he can squeeze his way through all the piles of cash he has.

Bit odd how many people are itching to have a pop at the England team despite these young lads making us so proud just a couple of months ago

What's up with everyone these days?

Is it the recession that's drove everyone mentalist?

What recession?

It's fine in the summer - irritating during the season when there's proper football on...

Don't everyone follow the example of the Commentators and Pundits  on TV  and consider that we are one of the top international sides. Look at the results! The thing that sent everybody wild was Harry Kane winning the Golden Boot - the majority of his goals being Penalties. We reached the quarter finals not the final. Yes. England are a team in progress, but no more than that.

And don't take this as a criticism of the manager and the players. It's the ex-pro's who make us to be something we are not.  men who should know otherwise.

If you cant be bothered to watch all the matches, then you really should do your home work, or not post at all.

There's promotion and relegation?  So they don't just reset it every year?

Seems overly convoluted and serious for what literally everybody will still treat as an international friendly...

good achievement getting to the semis but when it got to playing decent teams England just folded ,losing to Croatia and Belgium twice

to be a real force internationally they need to beating Spain ,France and Belgium regularly.

thats the aim mate. Come on england!

The mission for Southgate in the next two years ...

Sort out the gap between Henderson & Kane

Alli & Sterling, for whatever reason (probably lack of bottle), disappear in an England shirt. Lingard turns up occasionally

Maybe Maddison & Sessegnon can eventually fill those gaps

Looking at our false strikers, its a shame Vardy retired ... Can't blame him really, as he was criminally underused at the WC

Get some pace, width, and a Midfield General? Possibly another CB?
