Embargo...

Recommended Posts

QPR fine is 3m a year for 10 years and this money isn’t taken into consideration for FFP ironically. So owner could just pay this each year is he wants

An embargo for January where some clubs don’t buy anyone anyway

this is hardly a huge punishment in the grand scheme of things. Expect Villas new owners to start spending now

Being married I'm under an official fanny embargo.

If I wasn't married I wouldn't be able to attract a woman anyway.

Not sure there's much difference.

I'll set you up a loan window where you can borrow my gf as long as I can watch.

We are trying to avoid an embargo hence why are avoiding incoming transfer activity. It was said we were close to wire and we had to try and avoid breaking rules. Birmingham were placed under embargo and press know about it. A few clubs were warned about being close to limit this included us and Derby County. Derby had better season and enjoyed better income but with their change of manager and recent signings will be pushing it to extreme. We have decided to adopt sensible ap[proach which means keeping spending under wraps, this still means DC will be subsidising club to full extent but can not put in more as would break rules.

For those who think it is just transfer fees which impact club and because do not see signings think no investment is taking place. The majority of funds are spent on wages and ongoing costs. The clubs transfer policy under previous mangaer was absolutely diabolical it landed us with too many old players who had no sell on transfer fees. Fortunately a lot of problem will ease at end of next season as lots of contracts will terminate and we can rid ourselves of some of burdens. Many spoke one here about this folly at the time and received criticism we are now paying the price for that.

The manager needs all the support he can get at this time and do not see the point of a scond thread on this subject form this poster unless they want to cause unnecessary unrest. We all know the situation it is difficult and some who are at end of contract need to be sold or else we will lose them for nothing at end of next season.

I personally have no problem with age of squad being reduced to a more acceptable leveland one which could achieve promotion.

All those old pros retirement contracts were fecking stupid and are what have landed us in this mess.

Just gotta wait this season out.

You never know though we could strike lucky. We still have quality.

We could have good season, it will depend on if some of big gambles taken by clubs pay off. Personally can see one or two crashing big style but if none do I can see us grinding our way into contention rather than being spectacular.

I've not tried it

Where's best to drink it?

It goes down best whilst listening to Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino.

I don't have a problem with this but do have a problem with accepting 3-4 seasons of transition when paying Premiership ticket prices, kit prices etc.

All been one big gamble to get Promotion by now with no thought to what might happen did we not make it.

That’s right DC always tells us about all the bad things happening before we hand over our hard earned

Yes because that sort of information wouldn't be available from the football league.
