Worked wonders for Reading and Coventry that sort of forward thinking !

Exactly, we don't want to do what those clubs and so many others have done and end up with a boring, souless out of town stadium.

Nearer the M1, Hillsborough is a nightmare to get to.

If we built a new stadium as we get promoted that's more accessible and is sensibly priced, would it be too late to get on the huge rise of attendance that clubs like Derby/Norwich/Sunderland and many others all enjoyed from promotion and/or new stadiums, since our fall from grace?

It's not a nightmare for about 150,000 that live in walking distance

Imagine if Chansiri bought the ski village and the site in Neepsend

New stadium with restaurants/ bars built in (invitations to the local businesses reliant on hillsborough). Real snow ski slope with glass roof. Chalets/ hotels. BMX trials on the hill. 4G footy pitch on the top

£££'s

Council are looking at ways to regenerate the "northern gateway into Sheffield''. Swfc could be a key to this. Either with redevelopment of Hillsborough including a new leisure / fan area OR by leasing swfc a large plot of land in the Kelham island or wicker area. It would guarantee the success of new bars, restaurants etc. Allowing Sheffields northern gateway to be a buoyant part of the city, rivaling Ecclesall road on the other side

First impression of sheffield coming from the north down halifax/penistone road is Hillsborough, develope the existing ground its a stones throw and gateway into kelham island and the city centre

Another thread about something that most people don’t want to happen, makes zero economic sense, and won’t happen anyway.

But it does.

With a new stadium we can build in new economic streams of income that we do not have, and unlikely to have room for, where the ground is now.
