You seem to be simply reporting what happened. Football fans come from different backgrounds and cultural - some fans are appalled at any trouble and talk of it, but it's happened for 50 yrs and much less now that when i was young. I grew up in the 80s and early nineties and it use to give me a buzz. It's difficult to explain, but it was a bonding, defending your team, club cultural type thing, that is what it is. Being on West Street in the 80s was a frightening and exhilarating experience at the same time.
