Mentioning where I’m from as if it’s relevant.

The fact is we have grown adults who like to fight at football and boast about it.

Chuck them all in jail.

The police said there was little trouble. The braggarts on here are just talking themselves up and can't produce any evidence.

Acting in self defence is a bit different to going out looking for a fight.

Admittingly their were lads who went looking for one, me and my mates didn't.

So you chose to walk to the ground with "lads who went looking for one". Did you have a Stone Island jacket on to try and fit in?

They would say that though wouldn't they?

Got to justify the the overtime and colossal expense they spent

And by many accounts including the Star it was badly planned

Should argue about something really important, such as who as the most powerful imaginary friends.  Like they do in your neck of the woods, completely accept that you might be totally against such things.

You need to grow up.

Do time for fighting? Like you've never been in a fight or done anything wrong in your life.

Get your head out of the toilet, hypocrite.

I don't think I have had a fight since primary school.

That's kind of the way normal properly adjusted people live..

I don't understand why I'm being criticised.

I responded to the thread with what actually happened and explained it was in self defence.

Nobody's perfect and I certainly wasn't bragging.

^^^this^^^

They didn't even give a proper escort to coaches leaving ground, once we set off we expected an escort but all that happened was that buses got stuck in traffic at roundabout on end where loads of pig fans were waiting amongst bushes.

Why is it always our ‘boys’ are the noble heroes of the people that attack huge gangs of bullies (usually outnumbering us about 3 to 1) attacking innocent women and children but the opposition are always gangs of rampaging lunatics attacking every shirter in sight? But they always get run don’t forget that bit.

Yep that’s about it

here you go why don't the police give the ones who want to scrap some land for a couple of hours. If they want to fight let them out of the way, I bet half of them wouldn't turn up to something organised and fair like this though.

That is even more homoerotic than here.

Mainly blokes who got their first ever hard on wrestling their mates in the playground.

i wouldn't worry mate. You seem to be simply reporting what happened.

Football fans come from different backgrounds and cultural - some fans are appalled at any trouble and talk of it, but it's happened for 50 yrs and much less now that when i was young. I grew up in the 80s and early nineties and it use to give me a buzz. It's difficult to explain, but it was a bonding, defending your team, club cultural type thing, that is what it is. Being on West Street in the 80s was a frightening and exhilarating experience at the same time. That's what we did, but i accept many similar age fans were doing anything but this and couldn't even being to understand.

Pathetic.

I would love for all the idiots on both sides to do time for this.

Might make you all grow up.

It happens though, all over, and will continue too, the pigs are notoriously known for attacking 'soft targets' so for them to be on the back foot makes a pleasant change, bit like the bully getting sorted at school.

Imaginery tales where our scrubbers beat up their scrubbers are glorified on here.

Unfortunately our scrubbers don't have mobile phones and can't produce evidence of their amazing toughness. They instead post on t'internet with hard names like "Capone" and older men who no longer even go to matches give them likes on Owlstalk. The old men talk about how tough they were in the 1970s. The scrubbers and the old men get a warm tingly feeling in their loins.

Got it bad haven’t you , just don’t read about it that would be my advice.
