I wondered why so many of our supporters were stood on isle steps instead of standing where they should be sat . Could well have been upto 300 extra then as steps were jammed with supporters all game.

I had to stand in aisle because someone was sat/stood at my seat which was right on end of row...... and guess what?

He told me he had got in without a ticket. :duntmatter:

i wouldn't worry mate. You seem to be simply reporting what happened.

Football fans come from different backgrounds and cultural - some fans are appalled at any trouble and talk of it, but it's happened for 50 yrs and much less now that when i was young. I grew up in the 80s and early nineties and it use to give me a buzz. It's difficult to explain, but it was a bonding, defending your team, club cultural type thing, that is what it is. Being on West Street in the 80s was a frightening and exhilarating experience at the same time. That's what we did, but i accept many similar age fans were doing anything but this and couldn't even being to understand.

Absolutely spot on, I used to love it all back in the 80s but like I’ve said many times before, you’d be daft to be active now, life time ban & prison sentence? No thanks

Some of the do gooders on here need to get off their high horse, some people grew up in areas where fighting was normal & was certainly normal on a Saturday too!

I haven’t threw a punch in about 15 years

I stood in the aisle. There were some very drunk people in that ground last night. And they go on about Hillsborough, but that away end is a disgrace.

A few had been out drinking all day, not me unfortunately, didn't finish work till 4pm.

It’s never been the same since they normalised women coming to games. Atmosphere as gone downhill and all the do gooders get self righteous when a bit of slapping goes off. Wish we had more balls as men and just said enough’s enough this is a men’s game but in this climate you get bloody crucified.

Plus...what happened in the Rawson?

I was there until about 9ish?

Then went off for a bit and ended up back in there for 1 last pint (about 11ish?)

Perhaps it was all kicking off whilst I was drinking my crappy Carlsberg outside?

Apparently about 15-20 blades turned up at last orders and kicked off with about 6 Wednesday. Then more Wednesday poured out of other pubs and got involved. From what I hear it took police quite some time to arrive.

Heard different things about someone with a knife but I suspect that might be trying to make it sound ‘better’

Imagine being from Belfast & wanting people put in prison for having a scuffle at football

Imagine being from Belfast and supporting an English club :CEO:

Thought they all hate us in that neck of the woods, don’t mind supporting our football clubs though.

I was down Boro last night, never saw sight of em

Sounds to me like it is true they took a bit of hiding in Town and around the ground, so tried to regain some pride by trying to get a "result" in Hillsborough.

I'm no hooligan but had I have still been Rawsons when they turned up I would probably have joined in.

These people slagging off the ones who had a go, need to get a life.

If you don't like it ignore the thread, most of the time if your not looking for trouble you can avoid it, even if it kicks off around you, if you want to get away you can.

Bet the people who are condoning the "lads" would want them to appear if a bunch of BBC was about to attack them.

I know I shouldn't say this, because it's not good if there's been trouble, BUT, they've been threatening a bloodbath for Owls fans going down there, seems they got more than they bargained for. Well good.

Ps  Much more importantly it was great to see those on the pitch show some fight too.

Got to agree, most clubs have a minority who like a bit of aggro, if they want to go out of the way for a bit of fisty cuffs fine, but the difference with the lane scrubbers is they want to terrify everybody, young, old, children, supporters  in colours, spitting, throwing missiles and abuse on innocent people, the people running their club do nothing about it, that's why they are classless scrubbers, and if they got some of their own medicine last night then good.

On the lane after a mate of mine was punched by a Wednesday fan (who had the good grace to apologise ) and was then hit by a pig's trotter .

I once got kicked and covered in spit when caught on my own at Swindon in the 70'S....only to get saved from further damage by a group of Wednesday fans who came round the corner like the cavalry ...

...Except they thought I was a hard Swindon fan who didn't run, it was a split lip and a massive black eye later before they realised i was a Wednesday fan.

One said, ooops soz mate, but wtf you doing talking to them...kin ell

They didn't even give a proper escort to coaches leaving ground, once we set off we expected an escort but all that happened was that buses got stuck in traffic at roundabout on end where loads of pig fans were waiting amongst bushes.

To be fair to them, that's where they live

yer I go away a lot and never see many standing on isles as you usually are asked to go to your seat or face ejection ,doubt many stewards would have risked getting aggro last night. 500 cops and hundreds of stewards and they couldn't deal with owt lol

Well...there were two beers on the table and I sort of forgot which was mine and I just ended up drinking the one which I thought was mine...

But I don't think it was mine and it had probably been there for a while.

It didn't taste very nice.

Should have tried both pints ?
