"The culture from which he came from?"..

I bet you if you had 27'000 Thais in a stadium watching dire football and paying through the nose for it you would get pretty much the same reaction as you are getting here...with all the unnecessary abuse that comes with it.

Its not culture...Its human nature DJ

I'm not going to claim to understand oritental cultures better than anyone else on here but I thought it was well accepted they had a rather different value system when it comes to deference. For example, see here...

For example, I recall an airline crash in which a Korean co-pilot did not speak up to point out the captain's mistake he was watching unfold even though it resulted in the plane crash-landing, resulting in a number of deaths.

It seems a lot of people seem to think being a fan entitles you to essentially behave however you like with no repercussions and that even the tiniest hint of any criticisms in return

Even big business leaders realise, the customer is always right, if they happen to be loyal supporters of the business they are even more right.

How can I disagree with your feelings? You’re the one going on about the dark times ahead. Thought I’d ask but sounds like you’d rather people just ignore your posts.

I do apologise. I thought your response implied you disagreed with my thoughts. Normally if I didn't care for a post I wouldn't respond to it. But there you go.

You could maybe tell me why you think asset stripping isn't a bad thing?

Fine, and I think we can all appreciate the general principle, but some supporters monstrously abuse the privilege like spoilt brats.

of course there's a cultural issue here. The statement, which i've just seen an extract on SSN, is written like he just got hold of the main club computer last night and had a rant - no or little editing or sleeping on it. He can do this, like he can do everything he's done so far - good and bad.

He's the only game in town and we have to go with him on this or stay away. This may end up as an uneasy truce for some weeks until we see what his next plans are, in particularly what his vision for 2018/19.

Why? the product was poor and some chose to say so. Vile abuse should not be tolerated no question. But the real real nasties were a small minority

Asset stripping would be a very very bad thing. I don’t see any evidence of that being on the cards though. It’s totally fine for you to just think up the all worst stuff that could happen if that’s what you want to do but without any kind of words or actions from DC to say it will then I can’t see a great deal to debate.

Did I suggest it was?

Yep..You said "The culture from which he came from would lead him to expect ..... etc etc etc"

Not really true is it?

And I absolutely resent the assertion that fans are to blame for any of this.  This club's support is not commensurate with the product being presented to us.

And we didn't make a cockup of the 150th anniversary.

^^^^
This.

Mr Chansiri needs to fully accept that the problems at the club are largely down to his own mistakes and lack of experience. He has surrounded himself with advisors who in my opinion are questionable instead of surrounding himself with genuine football people who really could help him make the best decisions not just for the club but also for his own investment.

As for the fans, we all know just how fickle fans are and we are certainly no exception, however the fans have responded to the highest prices in the division by buying season tickets in record numbers in an area that is far from being wealthy when compared to the rest of the country.

Turning on the fans always ends badly for all parties concerned, club, owners and fans so please Mr Chansiri think very, very carefully about anything you might do that will alienate the clubs' biggest asset and income source. You are able to walk away from this experience at any time of your choosing, but for us Wednesday is a lifelong passion and addiction.

We have heard this very same statement before and it ended up in high court and all over every newspaper in the land, and is now being taught in law schools all over the world.

I thought we had travelled back in time when i read that

That's the first thing I thought to be honest

Looks like things about to go downnnnnnn (and I'm not talking about relegation)

Vastly different Chairman same fans draw your own conclusions.

I'm starting to think there are a good number of cretins at our club :-(

It's looking like an impossible job.

Happy Christmas BTW
