Tactics!

Wagner just said Wednesday have great defence and a superpower of attacking players.

Wish we showed that more today but Carlos was right to be very defensive against udders. Risky business sitting so deep though.

Tbf what does it say about Udders at the moment.

They barely created anything despite all their possession.

Not a confident team imo.

Their attacking options are few and far between . Apart from Wells , they are short on strikers.

We have "grown up" so much over the season and today illustrated that.

The only criticism of today's performance is that we gave perhaps just a bit too much in terms of our priorities but even so we always looked composed and comfortable and frustrated the hell out of them.

Westwood hardly had a save to make despite the amount of ball they had.  We made the "right" fouls at the right moments and CC strengthened our only developing weakness with an "unpopular" substitution.

In our own hands at home on Wednesday night and I can't help but fancy us especially if they come and try to do what we just did to them.

Let's fuckinghave it Wednesday!

Excellent dislay, like people have already said such a mature performance, game management was spot on...

huddersfield huffed and puffed all the way through that game and couldn't break us down....

bring on Wednesday

I am happy enough with the result and didn't expect us to do much more than we did. But I was concerned about how easily we gave the ball away, our passing was terrible at times and a better team would have taken advantage of it.

If it is, then dangerous tactics IMO. Huddersfield had their moments and if we don't score first on Wednesday they are capable of holding a one nil lead for as long as they have too. They will go into the next leg with more confidence than we will that's for sure.

Sorry, but you are just wrong

All part of the plan and always looked comfortable.  This team this season has more than a plan A. We aren't as one dimensional as before and I for one will take ugly draws and wins if it means we achieve our ultimate goals.

Nobody but us remembers our double runner up side of 93 they remember the Arsenal double winning team.

Onwards and upwards, THIS IS OUR YEAR.

If we go up the ends justify the means.

They threw everything they had at us and barely troubled Westwood.

We didn't get out of second gear and I don't think we even tried to.

They will crumble at Hillsborough.

It all depends what you want from your football. Someone likened it to Mourinho earlier in the thread and that is exactly the point. Mourinho approaches games with only one thing in mind which is the result, everything else is irrelevant. This has been Carlos' approach all season, results at all costs.

Personally, I think we are good enough to have gone there and actually played them today but with that always comes the risk of coming out of it a couple of goals behind so in games like this you really do have to look at the shoreline and ignore everything else.
