Ever the pessimist
9 minutes ago, popman said: Probably the biggest 3 points of the season. The Fulham result put some added pressure on us before the start but we went out and dominated the first half and were more than a match for a very strong Newcastle team. Westwood- 7 Would have been more but for the mistake Hunt- 7.5 Much improved of late. Loovens- 6 Solid enough but some nervous moments in possession. Lees- 9 Great goal and ensured their strikers never got close. MOM Pudil- 8 A very solid display especially considering how little game time he has had of late. Wallace- 7.5 Some great deliveries and was winding Shelvey up a treat. Jones- 8 A very solid and competent display Bannan- 7.5 The effort was plain to see, he chased everything Reach- 7 Another player that seems to be improving Hooper- 8 Some great touches and link up play. Fletcher- 7.5 Took his goal and never stopped chasing Sasso- 7 Typical defensive display Rhodes- 6.5 Chased hard but again things are just not going for him Semedo- 7 Solid and dependable Carlos- I’ve been critical of late but he got it spot on today! Not sure why this got negged so plussed it.

Lee's Pudil Jones Hooper all played really well. I thought Reach had a good game too. Barman after a mixed start settled into the game and worked really hard for the team. onlyonedavidhirst
Good to see on the voting that so many players have received votes. Shows plenty of players had a decent game today. As per the old adage that you need most of your side to give you a 7 out of 10 performance and we got that today.

Pudil coming back gave a great performance but tired unsurprisingly, Fletcher although lost his head with the first chance played well and got a goal, Lees immense and a goal, Hunt and Jones were great, Semedo brilliant and so on. Without being critical Loovs and Westwood for me were the only ones who didn't have a great game but they weren't awful

Our team should take credit for dominating and nullifying them.

legendaryswan
Really hard to single out one player today as it was a fine team performance. But I thought Pudil looked like the player of last season,Fletcher was a handfull, and Jones worked hard and broke things up along with some good passes,Lees was outstanding at the back,Hunt goes from strength to strenght and Wallaces delivery was spot on.Reach continues to get better every game with great energy, always looking to run into space, great to see Hooper back at last and Bannan was as frustrating as ever, losing the ball then winning it back and running allover the park closing down space and making himself an outlet to link up play. All in all has to be the return of the REAL Daniel Pudil, youve been much missed pal welcome back and my MOM. Great game, great performance,2-1 could have been 5-2,edgy last 10 minutes otherwise we bossed it

Adem Poric
Both full backs were OUTSTANDING today. Really FANTASTIC performance from them. Also, I thought David Jones was truly STELLAR. I gave it to Hooper though as his presence made us play like a team again. Finding space and bringing others into the game either with the ball or with his movement. Quite, quite EXCEPTIONAL from Gaz Hoops.
prowl
I was worried before the game, didn't expect more than a point. On the day we outclassed them. Only one team deserved the win despite the last few minutes wobble. Westwood 7. couldn't do much with their goal, good saves would have been 8 other than getting caught out when they hit the bar. Hunt, 8, played really well caused them a lot of problems. Not my favourite player but he is in form. Lees, 9, MOM, defensively solid, great goal. Loovens, 7, steady but nothing more. Pudil 7.5, played like he did last year, good performance. Wallace,7.5, good delivery, solid. Jones, 8, his best game for us, Hutch is a beast, Jones is just doing his job. Calm, controlled, broke up play. Bannan,8, played his heart out, lost the ball but did lots of good stuff to compensate. If he could tackle and shoot he'd be in the Prem. Reach, 8, never stopped working, some good attacking play but never shirked his defensive duties. Hooper 8, class link up, tired quickly but he was a live wire when he was on the pitch should have had an assist. Fletcher, 8.5, missed an easy chance when set up by Hooper but worked hard, caused the defence lots of problems. Continually threatened and eventually scored. Would have been MOM if not fot the miss from Hooper. Semedo, Rhodes, Sasso, did OK. High scores but it was one of those days.

Dutch McLovin
I'm bannans biggest critic but he was better today. Not brilliant but ok which is a massive step up on the tripe he has been. Pudil man of match was brilliant. Sasso Lees and Hunt also were good.

BenitoCarbone
Westy - 6 - poor clearance at their goal, otherwise solid Hunt - 7 - motstly solid, much improkveld lately. Lees - 9 - Sterling performance, finally back to his best, plus great goal MOM Loovens - 7 - Solid until injury Pudil - 7 - Solid, great to see him back at his old form. Wallace - 7 - Always a good delivery Bannan - 7 - Worked hard, Varied in Quality Jones - 8 - His best match in a Wednesday shirt, solid, calm, and un-spectacular. Reach - 7 - Awesome capacity, quick feet, but a bit varying. Fletch - 8 - Awsome goal, works hard as always Hooper - 8 - Really an awesome display from being out for so long. Unlucky not to have at least two assists. Sasso - 6 - Decent Rhodes - 6 - Worked hard, didn't pay off Semedo - 8 - Do NOT rate him, think he is Limited, but did his job perfectly today
