Play Dawson in the cup games and see how he shapes up in them. I don’t see Dawson being happy as a back up keeper. The guys 26 and just had a storming season earning automatic promotion from league 2. He’ll either be number 1 or he’ll be off. Personally think he’ll be gone but it’s a shame he won’t be given a chance. If we were signing the star keeper of a league 2 promotion team we’d be over the moon but because of the baggage that already exists he just wouldn’t be given the support he’d need from the fans. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Miruic Posted May 21, 2022 Share Posted May 21, 2022 I think the Hutch decision makes sense if we’re confident we can get a younger centre back in of a similar ability. Got to be thinking of the future. If we manage promotion next season then he’d have to be gone anyway as he wouldn’t be able to go back up to the championship whereas a younger centre back with a season playing under he is belt hopefully would be. It's very easy to post about what you ideally would like but it's pointless if it isn't realistic.
