Will Chansiri’s penny pinching cost us promotion ?

Somethings are unknown.  You might as well ask if your bickering and back-biting are going to cost us promotion.

The only people bickering are those who are (as usual) jumping into the threads to bicker when in reality a grown up conversation is being had until they do

(and now it seems wanting to bicker over bickering - you couldn’t make it up 🤣)

I'm not sure that Chansiri is or has been penny pinching; it appears (based upon various rumours that and the fact that we've fallen foul of FFFP and sustainability) he's thrown money around like a loon with no real plan or discipline and then had to reel in his spending when his over-spending didn't work.

His investment in the pitch should not have gone down the pan so soon, something obviously fundamentally wrong with that surface and I doubt it’s just down to maintenance

Full investigation required

With the million pound pitch being in such a sorry state due to lack of investment.

floodlight bulbs being removed so we just scrape through the correct level of luminousness (is that a word).

im sure there are other examples of frugality that affect the day to day running of the club

Yeah you were on the right track, its density of lumens mate, as Homowl says (measured in Lux).

Being saying the same for a while though regarding the lack of investment. Nobody from the EFL etc yas stopped Chansiri from investing in the ground, the training ground, electrical distribution, the stands etc. I was told last season that a lot of money had to be spent in those areas, but despite not having to shell out for player transfers, none of the big projects were started.

I think these facts more than any other made people wonder whether Chansiri was going to sell. Combined with the non-payment of wages, it paints a very worrying picture, if an outside investor, or Chansiri himself, does not stump up the investment required. Considering that Chansiri is supposed to have some kind of construction based business and have multi -millions of pounds in assets, he does not use his construction knowledge, or his assets to develop the clubs infrastructure much does he?

I wonder why? Maybe somebody should ask him. The Star have been a lot more in touch this season, can anybody get them to find out why nothing was spent and what the future plans are? Preferably without accepting that Covid blocked any plans because builders all over the planet were amongst the busiest trades, even during lockdown, because even we stupid fans knew that it was a good time to get all those little (and large 😉) jobs done.

I get that. But why are some floodlight units not working.

A) bulbs gone

2) faulty

C) bulb removed

if the answer is A or 2 then replace/repair

if the answer is C then the question needs asking as to why.

is it to save on the leccy bill ?  Has DM asked for the lux (👍@holmowl) to be turned down ?

Saving the environment to avoid further storms and floods?

next evening kick off. Or maybe even this Saturday. Have a look at the floodlights. See how many are switched on.

Not all...no need, not on telly. Max lux is needed for tv cameras only.

Penny pinching or common sense?

And don't forget we have the 'greenest' fan base in world football.

No,

The club have stated why the pitch is a poor state. The lamps are on everyday that the weather permits so there has been investment on expensive equipment.

No,

Why use a 100 bulbs when 50 will do?  This is not penny pinching just common sense and saves money.

The manager, players will be the ones that get us promoted or not. The chairman hasn’t penny pinched by allowing Moore to assemble the best squad in the league.

Never the less we are in this situation because of the chairman’s previous mistakes.
