Wallace hadnt played that much on the right when he came to us.

Has a good left foot and can hit a ball. RM in a 442 for me.

Not a chance we will play 4-4-2. Sounds like you’re stuck in the past fella. Johnson is not and has never been a right winger

I don’t think he’ll change much TBH.

Keeping the back four as settled as possible will be a priority.

I don’t think he’ll risk Shodipo. Paterson will be unavailable and I think he’ll persevere with Green for a little while longer.

Only 2 changes to the starting eleven I see are Johnson for Brown and Kamberi for Paterson.

Playing a left footer at left back and an actual winger on left wing will make a huge difference to our attack and build up play, I’m convinced of it. If you don’t believe me, this is where our attacks came from yesterday…

Where did you get the graphic from? Not disputing its accuracy at all because I agree with what you say & it shows pretty much what I thought. Just curious because I guess I’m a bit of a geek! Cheers

That’s from SofaScore. whoscored.com have a similar thing but it didn’t look as dramatic https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1553942/MatchReport/England-League-One-2021-2022-Charlton-Sheffield-Wednesday

Yeah I’d be happy with that, Palmer doesn’t provide the right balance as a left back and Green shouldn’t be playing when the new guys are available.

Its interesting what Moore said about Gibson made it sound like he might play quite often.

As mentioned in another thread, we also have the players available to play a 352 system.  With Johnson or Brown as the left wing back.

                         BPF

           Hutch.  Iorfa   Gibson

Hunt   Adeniran    Bannan   Johnson

                         Wing

               Gregory   Kamberi

Don't think Moore will go with a back 3 at Doncaster he played 4 2 3 1. I would prefer 4 4 2.

Need to look at corbeanu and see how he supports the attack

does he hug the line, get in the box? Kamberi looked too isolated for me and the left was a little out of balance not that I thought Palmer or brown did anything particular wrong

I’m no privy to the training or no much about a lot of the new lads but I’d go

                     BFP

hunt   Iorfa.    Hutchinson.  Brown

           Bannan adeniran

cobeanu.     Wing.          Johnson

           Gregory or Kamberi

seems like we would be better balanced

I don’t think he will go with this though

I think if we're going to play 4-5-1 then the two wide attackers are crucial to supporting the striker and creating a lot of our chances. Green and Brown had very little impact - perhaps we didn't get them on the ball in good positions, but definitely partly their fault too.

So I'd like to see Corbeanu and Johnson (on the left) given a go against Rotherham. Otherwise, side can stay pretty similar.

For me depends on if Shodipo is fit and how he sees Gibson fitting in.

BPF

Hunt

Iorfa

Hutch

Johnson (brown/gibson)

Adenrian

Bannan

Wing

Theo

Gregory

Shodipo (Johnson moves forward if not fit)

If he likes Gibson enough then could play 3 at the back.

                          Bannan, Adenrian

                  Theo, Wing, Johnson

                               Kamberi

Gregory wont be match fit for a while, wont risk Paterson, Green not good enough from what i have seen and Palmer may be on his way to Forrest

Now Gibson is on board, gives us more balance in defence to be able to play two central strikers.
