Alan Biggs on the warpath

Recommended Posts

What I find concerning is we heard these stories of how the club is being run, formwr managers have alluded to the statof the club and how it's being run yet some fans continue ue to back Chansiri and even defen6him starting post about him being a victim of circumstance.

Utterly ludicrous and we wonder why as a fan base we are continually mugged off.

Even Biggs says “It’s an opinion only”. He’s not some great footballing guru with insights beyond what we mere mortals could dream of. There’s nothing new or astounding in what he says in that article.

If ‘Joe Bloggs’ had written that on here there’d be a range of responses to it; why should we treat it differently just because it’s from a local journo?

yep spot on key ..........

People - let's not do the old 'attack the journo' thing

Instead - read the article, see what he's saying and let's discuss that

He's 100% bang on

Yes he is but it just confirms that I suspect have in their thoughts on a regular basis. DC is inept in his role . He has had an advisor that seems to have his own needs at heart and a second one appearing and making a lot of noise.
Cook would not be my choice however being a football person it would be very difficult for him to take on the managers position because DC doesn’t grasp what or how that type of manager needs 100% control to be effective.

it’s not Cook’s fault (or Pulis).

it’s not DCs fault either.
The conclusion being that it’s DC that’s the square peg in a round hole. Which he proves on a regular basis.

Sure we can all recognise some if not all of the issues he raises here. On non—footballing matters, many fans would agree leadership of the club from the very top has been abject, certainly over the past few years.

The command and control approach to leadership doesn’t get results in the 21st century. The chairman’s key lesson to learn is delegation, as Biggs states, can massage the ego as well as any other approach. Especially when your succeeding.

What's the difference between attacking peoples opinions on here and attacking Biggs written opinions elsewhere...If you're talking bollix it's bollix regardless of where you are doing it

Biggs is bang on the money, and it's long overdue. journos need to be on Paxo and chansiri's case.

Biggs saying what’s been said for quite a while now? We all keep saying get someone to help run the club properly but until dc stands back and looks who’s been doing the advising and who he been listening to for the last 3/4 yrs since it’s all gone wrong then we’ll continue in our downward spiral ? Do I think dc will? Probably not but he now listening to another person which is a start ? Let’s hope this is the Start of change but sadly don’t think so

Doesn't really say a lot we don't already know - and that's not having a go at Biggs as I've always found him to be a very pleasant and amiable chap when in the same watering holes (which was a very long time ago)

Nahhhh

People dont' read articles anymore they just look at who's written it and immmediately just hijack and ruin the thread by discussing THEM instead of what they've just written

Exactly... Thats the problem in a nutshell chap!! Folks can't be arsed to read more than a Tw@tter length of a statement any more!!

The question is though - how come Biggs is the only one brave enough to say what he is saying?

Because he just doesn’t write about Sheffield Wednesday & isn’t reliant on the club for his living. Joe Crann & the other Wednesday based reporters have to be careful. If they upset the club’s hierarchy they could struggle for information & exclusives in the future.

No, but a well written article from a local journalist might hopefully be noticed and taken seriously by those who have influence at the club, whereas someone's opinion on here won't.
