edwinowl
Try going back about 30 years he’d see what bad pitches were then. Still didn’t stop Liverpool Man U and the like playing decent stuff
4evaowl
This sort of thing is where the club don’t communicate with fans. We are all a bit geeky when it comes to these sort of things but we genuinely want to know why the pitch is so poor.
WAWAWUTO17
The pitch is working to our advantage. F em

A lot of rain recently? There's a lot of pitches suffering at the moment. Swansea's was so bad that they had it relaid after their last home game
Quist
I really get fed with moans about pitches and schedules. English football is a game of attrition, stamina and strength as well as skill. If you play a cerain way which means you can not back up performances or can not cope with a certain surface the answer is to change your tactics not change schedule or pitches. The Tour de France is over 23 days with two rest days over varied terrain. If you had it all on flat and rested every other day you would get different winner but would not be the Tour. When English football dominated Europe we played on variety of pitches and had back to back games at Christmas, New Year and Easter. This meant winner of competition was able to cope with demanding European schedule. Sorry had to moan about this but hate managers trying to change game to suit their actics.

If they said we can't afford something to make it better do we all chuck a few bob at it? If they did say that it's just more ammunition for some to have a go at Chansiri.
OhForAnotherShez
Well I did notice that Patterson took a divot when he went onto his knees celebrating!

I've got a scarifier and some grass seed. Don't mind chipping in to help sort it. I'll do it for half of Rhodes' weekly wage, as well.

GLOwl
The pitch is poor, unstable in the top layer and that is down to a lack of grass thickness and root growth. This why you see chunks of turf getting kicked up and players slipping a lot. It did us a favour though with one of Derby’s chances in the first half, as the ball bobbled up just before it was hit. Captain Scarlett
Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Chansiri was renting out the pitch to Sheffield Rugby Club or the Tigers Speedway team.

Remember games in the 70s and 80s with the orange ball and the ground staff would come on at the half time and sweep the snow off the lines which would be orange sometimes. If there was a penalty the groundsman would come on with his bucket of whitewash to remark the penalty spot because the goal area was like a replica of the Somme

Those were the days when keepers would make a mark at the edge of the 6 yard box in line with the posts.
