Pathetic excuse from a pathetic little man. He has a point though. Actually, that’s all he has.

If they stick with Wilder much longer and things continue as they are, it's a tacit acceptance that they're going back down, isn't it? That may be acceptable to some United fans, but I doubt all of them will be so accepting of the situation and will want the club to show a bit more ambition. On the other hand, if they sack him, then that's a massive call after what he's done there. They'd have to make damn sure the next man has a proven pedigree in such situations, but are there many out there who'd jump at the chance to join United right now? Wouldn't surprise me if he hasn't gone in the morning certainly by Christmas if they don't start winning. The only thing that saving him now is that they aren't adrift of teams above them
fudge27
West Brom away next. If they win it will keep them in touch, any other result is a disaster. Amazing after 9 games

WatfordOwl
Loving reading that thread. Perfect storm if it continues for a big implosion. Come down with a lot of high wages on the books, no takers for those players or those that are wanted going for peanuts.
nevthelodgemoorowl
A fishermans tale. The one's that got away. Walker, Norton, McGuire, Calvert-Llewin, Che Adams the bloke who scored 2 against us in the 4-2 reverse and just this week Mike Trusson ! McRightSide
I’ve said it before in here, but I still think Sander Berge is a major issue for them. He’s a good player, but just does not suit their style at all. The have average players who punch above their weight due to the intensity and dynamism of their play. When Berge plays he virtually slows everything right down meaning the intensity is dropped and guess what - the players around him look average.

Essix Blue
All boils down to what the bog roll prince’s plan is. If all he’s bothered about is making the big dollar while they’re in the prem and the parachutes that follow, he’ll leave CW where he is. If he seriously wants the pigs to be a PL team long term, he’ll act and spend some dosh. How much have they spent in the past 2 summers whilst in PL?

mildatheart67
From Guardian report It coincided with the advent of an icy rain shower sweeping in off the Pennines and soaking everyone in its path. On a day to have dampened Sheffield United’s already fairly forlorn hopes of avoiding relegation it seemed strangely emblematic. 1
