Just wondering, someone else posted Barnsley are threatening legal action -- no idea if true.

https://www.castrust.org/2020/05/barnsley-to-sue-the-efl/

"According to an article by Matt Slater and Nancy Frostick in The Athletic  this week Barnsley are one of several clubs considering legal action against the EFL if they are relegated this season but Birmingham, Derby or Sheffield Wednesday are allowed to start next season in The Championship on minus points because of Financial Fair Play sanctions."

Surely we should be willing to counter such threats with our own if we have a good case.

Birmingham have already been dealt with by censure and warning as to future conduct. They are done with.

Derby seem safe despite their drunken staff endangering life on the roads and Rooney gate 15 bob as a player and £60k a week as a coach.

So who should we try it on with as a scapegoat; Oh I get the drift !

A loan can be repaid.

Chansiri can sell the club and keep the ground - or sell the ground to someone else.

Basically we (the club) lose control over what happens to our home.

There is no WE - the club belongs to DC. That was what MM brought to the table the dissolution of the shareholders.

A loan can be repaid you say - by whom?

DC will not sell the ground to anyone else and would sell both the ground and the club as a package if he chooses to

25 years ago you would have said that we were better prospects then Chelsea and Man City to take over. Times change. We have been going one way for that 25 years and they have gone in the other.

Totally agree - however if P&S had been around when the Abramovich took over they would be no better off than we are as they wouldn't have been allowed to buy the title - same as Man City

It's about now and it's not stopped Wolves being miles infront of us as things stand.

I agree however if Wolves come back down they are going to get shafted same as Villa, Bournemouth etc. QPR got away with a points deduction and a big fine. The others won't

When they got taken over they were a side who were in the bottom half of the Championship not really doing anything.

A bit like when we were taken over by Chansiri.

Selling it to a body that didnt exist at the time he was trying to backdate it to...

The merits of selling the ground and then leasing back is wrong on many levels, however whether what occurred is not illegal although greatly distasteful. The EFL's FFP is not fit for purpose.

Just shows what employing a top quality manager can do for your club.

He’s probably stood on the loud speaker. He’s only about 5ft 3ins.

I assumed he'd be sat on some kind of horse.

So who else would you want other than DC? And who is going to come in and pay 100m for a club in the Championship or Lge 1.  DC would want his money back for starters. Without DC being able to  bankroll us i would think we would be knackered.

We all want what's best for the club but can't see any quick answers.

Im sure he would like „his money“ back but due mostly to his own failings it’s no longer his money since it has been spent/wasted not invested. It is akin to buying a car, running it for a few years and then expecting to sell it for the original price paid + the cost of petrol put into it...nice idea but not very realistic.
