Is Jos in a “no win” situation against the mini pigs

Recommended Posts

Against Rotherham I'd say yeah he is. Because the perception is it's little old Rotherham coming to Wednesday and Wednesday should hammer them (something history tells us we don't do). However if he wins that one and then goes and beats Swansea and Preston with decent performances then people might start to give him some credit. Will any of those things happen? Probably not.

Jos springs a surprise and names himself as a sub, puts himself on for Joey after just 7 mins then proceeds to run the midfield and indeed the whole team like a Hamburg whorehouse and when BB drops deep and comes too close to him for the third time in quick succession he slaps him Benny Hill style and he finally gets the message and heads up the centre of the pitch too scared to go back.

Tucks in spoonlike alongside Lees and coaches and cuddles him to overcome his fears for a paternal 10 mins before heading quickly up the pitch for some link play love with FF which results in 3 quick but dubious penalties as FF watches in awe at his Duffyesque technique and he then steps up and scores the lot, the last one whilst facetiming Hutch in Nonnas and Rhodes on the bench at Norwich with a Pearson style commentary, his eyes closed and a cheeky backwards run up.

Does a quick snapchat for his best pal Wally Wallace as he pops the yellow card which he had pinched earlier back in the refs pocket whilst at the same time as pulling out his whistle and giving it a playful toot resulting in a playful tweak of his 'tache and a squeeze of his nutsack amidst the roaring laughter of today's official, Neil Swarbrick.

With just under 3 minutes to go he applies his tactical genius and subs himself off for Adthe and at the same time Bannan leaves the pitch and Pudil comes on to take his place in the middle.

Adthe finishes off the day in style with 2 quick and well taken headed goals from close range with great crosses provided by each of the marauding wingbacks Fox and Palmer.

As he claps the fans, carried aloft on Bannan's shoulders whilst tightly gripping his hairflap, he then starts a rousing rendition of the bounce song with the first 4 words in a broad Sheffield accent being bellowed through a huge microphone he cheekily hid in his shorts and avoided being detected by cunningly strapping it splint-like with gaffa tape to his huge Belgian manhood.

He might just have regained the trust of the majority once more and returning home later as he settles down with his Ipad in front of the telly comfortably on his  cold metal bench he feels the warm glow of praise as he opens Owlstalk Matchday from thread after thread only slightly annoyed by just the one amongst the gushing plaudits calling for Stan Allordize as his replacement and started by a character from Peter Pan.

Unfair to keep him in post; unfair on Jos, the likely tense, bordering on toxic atmosphere no good for the players leading to another non performance, which is mostly unfair to the fans who have paid to be entertained.

They will be up for it, as their cup final and wouldn't bet against another embarrassing defeat. We don't attack teams, can't defend and don't dominate possession, so struggling to see what we bring to the game.

The lack of action from the club is escalating from embarrassing to laughing stock as each game passes.

I think even Jos knows he's on borrowed time,  looks lost.

If Jos is still in charge for the Rovrum game then if we lose or draw, the lynch mob will out in force; if we win then it’s just a win against a team we’d be expected to beat.

Is is there any way we can beat the Millers and Jos come out of it with credit?

It's always difficult through the season to put the sole importance of one game, other than against the pigs.

At the start of the season, I would have put this down as a win say 70%; draw 20% and loss at 10%.

This has changed due to our recent performances.

To take one game in isolation is clearly wrong, but the game is part of a pattern and unfortunately potential the end of a poor one, which puts more emphasis on every next game should this run continue.

We could be shortly saying Preston at home is a must win for Jos, should we say get 1 points from the next two games.

In all my years watching Wednesday I’ve never seen a manager survive in his position after the fans have turned like they did at Blackburn. The writings on the wall and it’s ‘goodbye jos’ regardless of Saturdays result against the mini pigs.

What is needed is for the team to come out with desire and commitment and take the game to Rotherham. We want to see positive, passionate football and none of this passing it around a back 4 or 5, none of whom are comfortable on the ball. If we do this the crowd will respond and beating the killers in such fashion will give him credit. It's all about the performance and not just the result.

Rotherham will be well up for it and will come to Hillsborough confident and expecting to win, but, if we match their desire, passion, work rate and commitment, we'll give ourselves  a chance, irrespective of who Jos puts in the starting eleven

Doesn't surprise me he hasn't been sacked. We've got a very unconventional chairman here, with no track record of making 'football decisions'. I think he's far more likely back his man out of spite, rather than deal with the issue. Sacking him would admit a mistake, and like many other issues, he has refused to accept the error of his ways. This is as much about pride as it is aDanny Graham hat trick.

The obvious flip side of the coin is cost. If JLoss goes, so does his assistant, Bullen etc. And the new man will want his own team around him. It might cost us £1m to change manager. I suspect our balance sheet couldn't deal with that. DC has hung onto players for far too long, and I reckon he will do the same with the manager.
