Like all appointments its all down to whether it's the right man at the right time.

He, or anyone else, might be a good or a bad fit.

Like McCarthy, Lahukay whoever...it's pot luck what they'll do until they're in post.

Catterick, Brown, Atkinson and Francis surprised me in a positive manner, the rest varied from acceptable to completely crap, the problem is that some were proven crap before they came to us. :carlosswfc:

Village idiot

A village idiot who got Blackpool (yes, crap Blackpool), promoted to the Premiership playing attractive, attacking football. And had to contend throughout with working to Oyston too (no mean feat that). Read up on the Oyston history.

Then became crap as SiJ pointed out earlier, by becoming manager of Crystal Palace, playing attractive, attacking, football again and getting Palace promoted to the Premiership. So, two unfancied teams promoted to the Premiership then, on low budgets.

My type of village idiot. Has charisma, entertains, knows his football, good man manager, gets his teams playing for him, plays attacking, entertaining football.

Also loves Wednesday and us, the fans. Never stops going on about Wednesday’s fantastic support. Used to live just down the road.

Same for me. Honest. ( Did someone really say “bent”? )

Humorous. God knows we’re desperate for something to enjoy.

Proven. I’d appoint him in a heartbeat.

The right man for us we probably do not know their name. Google Borussia Dortmund and ex Barcelona coaches i would say as a possible direction? Or promotion managers from other leagues we don't know about. I know we all know names like Holloway, McCarthy and Megson. But the next appointment i would guess will come from a similar source as where Jos came from, based on that it will be someone we don't know. Which i am fine with to be honest. But i think we will have Jos for a fair bit longer yet so all hypothetical.

Steve Bruce is known as the manager experienced with getting teams promoted to the Premiership. He got two teams promoted, same as Holloway.

But with Birmingham twice and Hull. Both laden with cash at the time. Holloway did it with less money, lesser pros, team spirit, togetherness, and attacking football.

Doesn’t have FC Lederhosen or PSV Clogporn on his CV though. May be a disadvantage.

That is all.

Actually I would prefer Jos to stay and turn it around but I would far rather have Oli than MM.

We are certainly setting our sights high. Big daft Mick now Oli. There's only Charlie Kaoroli left ffs.

Holloway has managed since his last promotion - 5 years ago and counting. He also managed to get Leicester relegated from this division when sent in to steady their ship......
