Totally different situation. There is no comparison between the two. Utd cashed in on Brooks, wonder what the real reasons Hirst as gone. It certainly wasn't for the transfer fee. I agree that Hirst got a lot more attention than he should have by virtue of his last name, but wind the clock forward a year or two. Borukov breaks into the the first team and starts banging them in left right and centre. Let's say he makes 30 appearances and gets a dozen or so goals in that time. The interest in him would be immense. Would you be quite so casual about what happened to Hirst if the same thing then happened to Borukov in such a scenario?
