Hirst camp now free to put out their side of the story yet still we hear nothing. The silence speaks volumes.

It may still happen but I don't think so personally.

If they did it would be carefully edited and not cover the points where they would/should be extremely embarassed about.

Compare and contrast.

Way Utd dealt with Brooks, as opposed to our treatment of young Hirsty.

Nightmare.

Totally different situation. There is no comparison between the two. Utd cashed in on Brooks, wonder what the real reasons Hirst as gone. It certainly wasn't for the transfer fee.

Or look at the way Brookes dealt with United as opposed to young Billy Bigbollocks and his Father with Wednesday.

Two years older than Hirst don’t forget, Got his head down, earned a new contract and now through displays has got a great move.

Nowt like Hirst who seems to think that £4K a week isn’t enough

lol

If that's what he was offered I hope he falls flat on his face.

Isn’t it about time people let this go.

No, not at all because as has been pointed out numerous times since the news broke, the real story isn't really about Hirst, it's about a very wealthy PL club circumventing the rules to avoid paying compensation to a club that has nurtured and developed a young talent.

If we let it go as you suggest, then there is even less likelihood that the football authorities will actually do something to prevent a repeat situation in the future.

Nothing will happen anyway. They’ve got round the rules without breaking any.

This Hirst saga should just be put to bed.

If this was anybody without the surname ‘Hirst’ nobody would give two fooks. The lad barely played a game for us at first team level and proved nothing as far as I’m concerned.

I agree that Hirst got a lot more attention than he should have by virtue of his last name, but wind the clock forward a year or two. Borukov breaks into the the first team and starts banging them in left right and centre. Let's say he makes 30 appearances and gets a dozen or so goals in that time. The interest in him would be immense.

Would you be quite so casual about what happened to Hirst if the same thing then happened to Borukov in such a scenario?
