Beauchief Owl
Yiadom is off having served out his contract so can't see why that would aggravate Barnsley fans any more than him going to Leeds, especially if they get relegated. However the abuse directed at Winnall might put him off a move to us.
Ian_D
Hunt has had a good season. Played well from what I've seen, which in fairness is not that many this season

Birley Owl 1867
Reckon he'll rejoin Hecky at Leeds. Unless he blamed him for the breakdown in his move to Swansea last year.

Even if someone wants to argue that Hunt could be better, then Yiadom in and Palmer out increases the level and makes us stronger.
fred mciver
Failed a medical for Hudders last Jan. So , insurance implications. Bur free with right contract, would be brilliant signing.
wakefieldowl
Udds agreed to sign him start of this season but he failed a medical, so stayed in baaaarnsley

Pacey and out of contract. Played on wing for Barnet, could be perfect for Jos 3-5-2 formation as a wing back. Right back is definitely a position we could improve on. However, would Barnsley fans bully him out of a move to us? Id definitely have him at Hillsbro , but a lot may depend if Swansea come back in for him. Feelthepayne
Unpopular opinion but, would not want him here, he's basically Palmer in a red shirt for me
Walt
5 minutes ago, hugeowl said: Yeh but not for us . Hunt is good enough to be a Championship right back / wing back for us. First season under CC, him and Pudil were key to the system working. Second season saw him isolated as CC generally played Wallace narrow. Hunt was often left facing 2v1 situations and was expected to deal with that and then provide the attacking width 70 yards up the pitch. The lad can not be faulted for giving 100% effort and runs as quickly running back to goal as he does going forward (a massively unedrated virtue). Compare Hunts work rate to that of Palmer’s, Palmer should be embarrassed by how half arsed his showings are. Yes Hunt’s final ball could be better and yes he sometimes gets done at the back post when defending but for a Championship full back he’s not bad. No issues in bringing in another right back/wing back as Hunt is often injured and Palmer is about the same standard as Fox.

As Barnsley as a place is about 130 years behind the rest of the country, I'd expect the club to break the £1 million pound transfer fee paid by 2025. fixed. I quite like Hunt when fit, but we need to much better full-backs/wing-backs for next season.
