#SWFC Summer 2018 Transfer Window Rumours Thread

I also think we'll see us looking to continue with the loans and where possible the future fee agreed. It get's you the player you want now, pushes the financial impact backwards and if that future fee is optional you're inspecting the goods up close before committing to purchase.

If we can operate along these lines there is no reason why the squad can't be significantly improved, even within the current financial constraints.

Also, as we are seeing a breach of FFP so long as it is not blatant will result in little to no action from the powers that be.......

Ross Wallace is on trial at Wigan, guaranteed to score a wonder goal on the opening day if he signs.

He'd be a good cheap high-value signing for them. Also as you say, he'd guarantee a result for them on opening day even if he does nothing else for them his entire time there.

Nice to see some movement at last. We needed to upgrade the fullbacks so hopefully this will help facilitate that. Likewise good to see some more concrete news on Rhodes. You’d think we’ll start to get linked to a few soon.

Standard generic new signing stuff really, good luck to him (apart from when we play them), as suggested, he has signed a 3 year contract and can't blame him for taking the move and some security given he was in the last year of his current deal.

Fulham in for Hooper/

Can not believe this to be true he is still not capable of returning to training due to groin problem. His injury record would prevent any club showing interest. Averaged 30 games a season for last 6 seasons. He has seen specialists even overseas ones and still not fit. A groin strain should not be long term, I suspect is nearer retirement than a transfer.

because it isn't true, hence rockets refusal to provide any source, not even HITC lol

Given he can clearly be seen taking part in pre season fitness training I suspect talk of retirement is somewhat premature.

He started pre season but had a problem and think working on own second week. Good player who I rate but has issue.

Yes, we have to be seen to be doing something to lighten the financial load.

This might have been posted but heard Westwood to Brighton. Not sure if there is any truth. But I think they want another possible 1st choice keeper for competition for Ryan, and I’m sure with a decent fee he’d be available.

Not heard that one but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we cashed in on Westwood. If he stays one of Wildsmith or Dawson will need to be loaned out.

So that’s Wallace, Loovens, Venancio and Hunt gone They were all regulars in the first team squad, so we could do with bringing a few in

But, you were one of many many people who were saying our squad was too big and we needed to get rid of some.......I mean, I even agreed with you, don't change it now

They were only regulars due to the number of injuries..............we needed better but circumstances dictated otherwise

I'm livid. I just hope Jos knows exactly what he's doing.

Jordan Rhodes and Jack Hunt raised the profile and performances of the whole squad. Along with others ofcourse.

Also to integrate a player into the squad as valuable to the first team as Jack Hunt was, they better act quick. We don't want that year long settling in process.
