MESSAGE FROM THE SWFC CHAIRMAN (and he's not happy)

Will that be the same fans who weren’t prepared to put themselves in ‘financial destitution’ by purchasing £20 tickets on the numerous occasions when Milan, desperate to get people through the door, made them available?

Why should I and thousands of other ‘self righteous fans’ feel an ounce of guilt for being lucky enough to be able to take advantage of the fantastic 3 year ST offer introduced by the current chairman?

Absolute nonsense of a post !

Hey listen.............it's great that you and many other fans took advantage of what was considered to be a very generous offer by the club at the time for a reduced price season ticket.

No guilt........not one ounce of it should be felt for any fan that paid for the offer that the clun were promoting.

We as a family...........or group of supporters in the looser sense of the phrase...........should have looked at what was happening at the time the structures involved in POTG being introduced and said no.

Not one or 2 of us on a forum but the lot of us 'en masse' to say, Mr C.........this a family......we all want to be part of that family in one way or another.........regardless of what one man/woman sitting at the table may bring in relation to another man/woman that may not bring quite as much to the table.

The facts are/were, we all wanted the same thing............that's how a family an a unit operates. It's not about wealth and having more to bring to the table...........it's about the love of the family.

Money gives you better options in life, it doesn't make you a better person as a result of having it...........football should be for the many and not the few. Never set a precedent where it's the other way round.

Me too.

He was a good man, an honourable man.

But there were so many aspects and issues to why he should leave it was inevitable and the right time

Right time? We shall see. We now have a chairman who (rightly or wrongly) is well peed off. He's had his hand forced and from what I know about Thai culture don't be surprised if there is a catastrophic consequence along the way, having said that, I am a glass quarter full type of person. Players stopped playing for him, the players should have gone, just hope we get somebody like Pearson in to kick some ass.

We don’t know that. When Big Jack left we went on to bigger and better things. When Megson left we did the same. When  Lee Johnson left Barnsley they might have felt the same.

Carvalhal did a decent job but he didn’t get us promoted- nor in my opinion was he likely to. Promotion for a club like us isn’t impossible- there will be managers out there that can achieve it. The trick - a difficult one admittedly- is to find someone like Wagner or Dyche who can take us to the next level.

Its worth the gamble.

We've just shot ourselves in the foot Ricky, please don't ask me to explain, just sit back and watch.

That's fair comment mate TBH. I don't know the answer, wish I did. All I know is that i'm saddened by losing this man, i'll take the flack for that but I am genuinely gutted that he has gone. Now, having to accept that, I look at the potential replacements and I just ask myself how has it come to this? I'll guarantee that whoever takes over will not be anywhere near what we have just let walk out of the door.

Have to agree with you, it's going to take an exceptional manager to replace him and if the replacement is one of the British merry go round managers, the fans won't give him much time before the baying starts again if he doesn't produce the goods.

I accept that DC had to let CC go the fans had grown weary of him and it's probably best that he left before there was a united style carpark meltdown.

DC needs to sign a top notch guy to dampen down the fans disappointment of a lost season and to breathe new life into the club.  I pray that he finds the right man quickly.

Fine sentiments pal but ultimately only achievable in a socialist utopia !

That's the easiest accusation in the world and one that is repeated at probably 80% of clubs every single season. I didn't see on Saturday a team that wasn't trying or wasn't bothered at losing. It was however, lacking in leadership, confidence and direction.

Almost every game in the last year and a half saw the same kind of ponderous, cautious (and let's face it, dull) football. Yet all too fleetingly, we have proved we can move the ball quickly and purposefully like in much of Carvalhal's first year. That can't have been a conspiracy amongst the players. Let's not forget the 5 shots on target TOTAL in November, or basically giving up the first leg of the play-off semi-final against Huddersfield. Players like Pudil, Wallace, Loovens and Fletcher have not matched previous standards this season, but that doesn't mean they must have decided to abandon the manager. These things can just happen without having to find some dark intent.

Excellent posts gents , Easty first,  bang right with the  p155ing chairman off bit ,the far East lads don't do confrontation nor take to any kind of criticism of their authority . MUST tread carefully here or we could end up in doo daa.

I personally am glad Carlos has gone , he should have gone last Christmas imho but somehow he got us to playoffs ( don't know how really)

New Manager I would take Pearson but don't think it will .. kick up backside merchants for me? Martin O'Neil / Roy Keane

Ricky.. Same as Easty ..Carlos did ok but reached the culd e sac while back .

Yep dead right Sean Dyche - if Burnley can be where they are now , The Wednesday can do the same if not better ..

Why was CC not one of the merry go round managers? Had something like 13 clubs before.

DC 's statement came straight out of Pyongyang.

To talk about a Hillsborough family after gutting Gray and rogering Roeder is nauseating.

You gotta 's into this mess, you  get us out.

The contract is simple. You finance and manage well.

And we'll turn up in droves, buy replica shirts (late) and bevy on beer and Beres.

Is that the record for the most uses of the word Honest in a statement?

TBH I do think that he is a truthful, but totally out of touch, man.

picking one line out of such a massive pronouncement can be unfair but “if your not happy, don’t come” is not the answer.

looks like we are stuck with CC for a while longer.

Wrong,wrong and wrong again

This is the sort of rubbish we expect from a Chairman who knows nowt about football or Wednesday and our heritage. Please leave all this sentimental “family” twaddle  to those that believe in fairy stories and moons made of green cheese.

Give us back our history and heritage and he may receive a little respect but to berate loyal fans for being unhappy is “crossing the line”...as someone has said.

I think we can cut the "honour" crap...its not bloody Brooklyn in the 1920's.....Honestly its like we have suddenly been invaded by the bloody Mafia...

Carlos was a manager, he's gone, lets get on with it....

I don't need the Chairman to tell me what the honourable thing to do is, nor anyone else...

FFS!....We have a thread where we are dressing him up in clown costumes.

Its not Owls fans with no respect..Its Owls fans understanding football and bloody moving on..The Chairman should do the same.

Respect for a culture works both ways..surely?

Its fast become a "Martyr" culture on here..Even the Chairman is joining in.

Its nothing to do with Thais, with English, with owt bar football and football fans hold nowt sacred bar the actual CLUB..all else is an open market...Players, managers, even Chairmen...

Its nothing hostile, racist, nor anything else...Its FOOTBALL!
