The Wednesday v Chesterfield Matchday Thread

Recommended Posts

I just hope the boys remember the words of Prince Vultan -:

Don’t make me suffer Wednesday as I sit in old age,

Get out at the Proact and unleash your rage,

As the Derbyshire skyline loses its light,

Get on the park and show me some fight.

Don’t let tonights Owlstalk be full of moan and wail,

Show us the same spirit of our fans battle hail!

Lets not invite the spire-ites on , but go on attack,

Westwood and Lees, will keep it tight at the back,

So lets go out there and make sure we score first,

And one more thing Carlos, any chance of George Hirst?

I'll turn this negativity and form right around with this well constructed thread.

Chesterfield will lose.

We will win.

Everyone will live happily ever after.

Oh Im sure not everyone will be happy lol

Need to keep all our strikers happy.  Play a 1872 type formation :)

Bale.   Vardy.   Ronaldo.   Robben.

Would that be any good? Or got to be "black" in your opinion? I'm not trying to be a goody 2 shoes but that was an outrageous thing to write.

I'm making a general point that we seem to be accumulating identikit players.

It is proven physiology that there is a genetic difference in the hamstring and manhood of Africans which leads to quicker running speeds and member size, respectively.

So the generalisation is founded in probability of having more players of mixed creed in the squad, leading to an advantage in being able TO STOP PLAYING TIPPY TAPPY PATHETIC ONE PACED NONSENSE

The team will bear little relation to the one that started on Saturday, and irrespective of tonight's result, will bear little relation to the one that starts next Saturday, so in the scheme of things will give little indication as to if Carlos has decided to attack more (at all).

However, If Winnall scores he might even make Saturdays bench.

So if we win, or lose, I will try not to overreact either way, but I will be there.

Im just hoping Carlos uses his brain and leaves Lees and Loovens at home with their feet up watching the telly tonight. we cannot afford to risk playing either of them . Id play Pudil and O`Grady at centre half tonight.

Don't get this resting player, start of the season they need match practice. No resting players unless injured. Use this as a chance to use different formation (attacking) and just see what happens nothing to lose except maybe we find out we are better when we go back to taking the initiative rather than letting the opposition dictate to us with this "high pressing" game that for some reason we cannot overcome.

If Carlos can't bring himself to show some positivity, attacking intent and utilise the talent available to him in a game like this, even I will come to conclusion that his time is just about up.

I agree with your sentiments myself

Think we'll line up 4-6-0, 1-2 to chezzie, COG winner, uncle Dave to perform the worm dance, topless, infront of the KOP at the final whistle.

Hypothetical.

What happens if we lose tonight?

A few more Carlos supporters will lose faith , I'm heading that way especially with the bull-bobbar that FF is better in the middle

Players need to up their effort too. Big chance for the likes of Winnall, Abdi and one or two youngsters I hope too.
