parkerowl
Was hoping we'd get him alot cheaper but his scoring boots are on at the minute so i suppose Norwich could always keep him if they wanted now hes fit and in form.
Last_Great_Hope
No there's no quarantee he'd fit in, just think £4m is a steal for Austin and wouldn't have minded finding out. There is no way Austinwould have left QPR for anything less than Prem football.
SiJ
Not a chance in hell we'd have got Charlie Austin Absolute steal for Southampton.

Southie_Owl
All the twits in Twitterland on the case now.. Sheffield Wednesday â€@AllThingsSWFC #swfc have a bid accepted believed to be around £3million for striker Gary Hooper #NCFC
best77
When Mark Bright played for Wednesday I used to slag him off rotten because he missed chances. More fool me as we have not had as good a goalscorer than him in last 20 years. Hooper is as close as we have been since. To miss chances strikers need to be there in first place and if they are they will be scoring as well. If we sign Hooper it will be one of the best signings in the last 25 years. I take it that when you state that Hooper is "close" to Bright then you purely refer to getting in to positions to score but not taking every chance? The reason I ask is because Hooper is completely different as a forward to what Bright was.

latemodelchild
He gets into the right places at the right times. Poacher. That's what we need. He fits in. He knows how we play. Let's have him DC.
woodhouseowl82
4 mill for austin is good but he was on big wages, 50/60k a week which we dont want to pay yet, similiar to when van persie moved for 5m, seemed cheap but wages of 100k+ a week make these deals not so much of a bargain
ozzieowl
Surely we already struck a deal before his loan ran out. He prob wouldn't want to really play for Norwich again anyway. Loves it here. Said wants to stay. Players have a togetherness with him and he's only been here a short time. He's won over the fickle fans. He wants to be an owl. No doubt he will sign in next few days.
