Dunk and Duffy

Recommended Posts

It's only fair they let Fletcher and FF out of their pocket now.

Championship winning sides are built from the back. The money we spent and are spending on the likes of Buckley, Abdi, Jones, Kean etc etc should have gone on a centre half.

Carlos has done a great job, and is a great guy, but he won't get us promoted. Simple as that.

Dunk is a really good player. A league above what we have imo. Loovens and Lees are awful with the ball.

Dunk is one of the best defenders in the division. Would make a huge difference for us.

But Houghton has always been an excellent organiser too, a bit defense minded but his teams never concede many goals.

Play it up in the air then only one winner, on the floor then they have a few more problems.

So why play more high balls today than any other match?

why play through the middle when you could play round the sides with them running back to their goal? Answers on a postcard

The 2 CBs were excellent.

Duffy had a nightmare start to the season but Brighton are getting the best out of him.

Dunk was solid also, would've been a solid signing for us but we were never going to pay over the odds for him - add to the fact they wouldn't sell to a rival.

How tall is Duffy? He was an absolute beast at the back. I think Fletcher gave up trying to win headers after about 20 minutes.

Fletchers a good player on the ground or in the air but he was well bossed today

Not being funny but we played directly into the strengths of both of them by playing the ball in the air too much - even to Forestieri for gods sake!

We needed to be smarter, looking to play the ball more down the sides of them or in and around their feet, especially Duffy as he's been known to be suspect there.

Man for man Brighton were better than us today, and this should have been addressed at half-time if not before by changing the shape or introducing Nuhiu up front if we were to continue playing the way we were.
