    Elden Ring

Sensational gameplay as per from this mad lad. Hardest souls boss of all time imo made to look simple thanks to rivers of blood, golden parry, and God like reflex's

    Elden Ring

Three really great videos for anyone interested Huge spoilers for the second two though.

    Elden Ring

And that's the platinum! Only the second one I've got after Bloodborne but worth it to see some of the different endings. Gonna do a bit of co-op, mess around with some different builds and then and then put it away til we (hopefully) get some dlc.
  6. Don't allow teams to bring a sub keeper on if keeper gets sent off, make em put an outfield player in there.

    Elden Ring

Always worth checking in with the npcs at roundtable hold after every boss. Can't go wrong with having a wander, just like BOTW before it anything that looks even remotely interesting is worth investigating. Such a great map.

    Elden Ring

Yeah I was a bit over levelled by the end, 120-130 should be fine I think for late game stuff. I didn't realise you can level up summons until very late on which makes a huge difference, and along with maxing out weapons is probably more important than your overall level. I'm assuming it's the second phase that you're struggling with? A +3 or +4 summons while running wide circles when she spams magic and then darting in for jump attacks worked for me.

    Elden Ring

Completed this over the weekend. Very last boss is a bit of an anti climax but what a game. 130 hours level 150. Jumped straight into Ng+ and using a guide this time and the amount of things I've missed even in limgrave is amazing. Re spec'd to primarily arcane since the scaling got fixed arcane weapons are crazy good. Sets a new standard for open world games imo.

    Elden Ring

Get in! You can go lighter for a faster roll but not worth it imo. Bloodhound step is a good ash of war for really quick dodges.

    Elden Ring

Do you have a heavy load? If so it may be that you've got a "fat" roll that's virtually useless for dodging. I had to beat that boss you're talking about with wolf summons, he's no joke. With Margit it might be worth a try solo ing the first phase and summoning to finish him off. In other news the first patch is out. NPC's can now be tracked which is VERY useful. There's also a swathe of balances to weapons and skills. Unfortunate for anyone who abused the poo out of hoarefrost stomp (i.e. me )and the mimic (also me )

Loved stormveil castle, classic souls dungeon. You find all the bosses there? Spirit ash summons can be really helpful drawing aggro, later on you get access to one in particular that once levelled nearly breaks the game.

    Elden Ring

Forgot Demon's souls remaster which is brilliant and the best looking game on ps5 imo and sits between DS3 as and DS2

    Elden Ring

As Dave says runes scale as you progress, late game mobs are worth 600 odd a piece at least so it's easy to rack up a huge stash. Not far off finishing now I think, read that the PvP meta level is expected to settle at around 125-150 so I'm happy on 130 odd, any spare runes will be spent upgrading and trying out weapons. Missed loads of side quests so I'll do a Ng+ run and try for the plat with a guide, no way you could ever 100% a souls game without one imo. Fromsoft order of greatness Elden ring+Bloodborne > Sekiro> Dark Souls 1> Dark Souls 3 > Dark Souls 2

    Elden Ring

When bosses you struggled with start turning up as regular enemies I just can't get enough of this game. I was worried that id over levelled after 60 odd hours of exploring virtually every inch of the map and only fighting three main story bosses, but the capital city gave me a welcome seeing to last night. (40000 and 30000 runes lost before calling it a night) The only slight grumbles I have are with the inconsistent frame rate and the reusing of boss designs later in the game, though tbf you can level those complaints at all souls games. As Alanharper says as well it's strange you can't compare stats on gear and weapons before buying as that has always been a thing in previous games. MILD SPOILER The second main boss allows you to respec (need an item to do it but they aren't rare) so with that and the weapon arts allowing you to add different affinities to weapons as and when you need them, you can really freshen things up with different play styles.

    Elden Ring

Early ish boss spoiler here. So much scope for combat variety with the ashes of war altering skills, and scaling in some cases. I've been dual wielding katanas with cold on one and blood on the other. Never thought to stick parry skill on the off hand. Deffo giving that a try.

    Elden Ring

Nice one mate. So rewarding these games when they start to click. I've just been exploring as well, gonna put over 100 hours into this easily by the time I'm done. Did a bit of PvP the other night and got absolutely steamrolled, blood weapons seem really op need to get on that train.

    Elden Ring

No mate there's no difficulty settings. My early impressions are that Elden ring is probably the best starting point for anyone interested in the soulsborne games. There's save points dotted around all over the place, and you can summon A.I. companions in addition to friends or randoms for co-op On the flip side of that being open world it's very easy to stray into areas that are waaaay beyond your level and get get absolutely smoked, the first proper boss is also in my opinion the hardest first boss in the soul's games. Absolutely loving it so far. Bloodborne was my first souls game so will always be special, but Elden ring could well turn out be my new favourite. The perfect review scores are legit.

    Elden Ring

Some absolutely insane gameplay from the first boss fight. Successful parries in souls games are the most satisfying mechanic in all of gaming imo.

    Elden Ring

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/elden-ring-what-to-do-first-beginners-guide-8042 This is good. I spent a couple of hours messing about before I followed the critical path. In hindsight I wasted my time, crucial that you unlock your horse and the ability to level before you explore. There's a lot of quality of life improvements made from previous souls games but it is hard no doubt about it. Nowt wrong with a bit of farming or looking the odd thing up.

    Elden Ring

So many bosses and big encounters... Ran into a giant knight this morning out in the open, absolutely huge, like storm knight in demon's souls huge. I'm seven hours and haven't reached the first boss proper yet, no intention of progressing the story yet with so much exploring to be done.

    Elden Ring

Finally got a shield I can parry with as well, strange they made that a specific skill for certain Shields
