TheEnchanter
Despite their league position. Shrewsbury have got 26 points from their last 19 games. We have only got 27. So over the last 19 games these have been as good as we have.
Hoofit
Recall our first league meeting with Shrewsbury at the old Gay Meadow ground. A dire Div 3 0-0 draw on a Tuesday evening in 1976. The highlight was the guy in the coracle whose job it was to retrieve the match ball from the river each time it was hoofed over the stand. Hopefully today will be far more memorable for the result given the water side show is no more. UTO!

Rev Owl
Pointless bit of history. My first away game was Shrewsbury in April 1982. Don't remember much about it except, we travelled down in my mate's dad's sports car and we sang 'The Wednesday hate Fray Bentos' (Falklands War was underway.) I googled the result of the game and apparently we won 1-0. So that's that.... Hope we win today UTO.

It’s hard to believe that we’ve only beaten Shrewsbury 3 times in something like 22 league and cup games and that the fixture that you’ve mentioned may have been the last win over them .

I’m not sure on this one, but didn’t we beat Shrewsbury away in the 1983/84 promotion season?
