George Hirst back in business

There’s more to strikers than scoring goals though

So Ive been told this week repeatedly

It depends on the striker, really.

Nuhiu - yep.

Rhodes - not so much.

It depends what else they bring to the table beyond goals.

I genuinely have no idea where Hirst falls on that continuum, by the way.

No goals in 31 Championship appearances last season.

He’ll be 23 by the end of this season.

Massive season for him, if he fails to score goals in League 1 then a career in the lower leagues awaits.

Managers will be commenting on his potential when he's 32.

'GH back in business', seems to me since he left us he hasn't done the business at all.

Very poor episode in his career when he probably demanded too much, too soon incurring the wrath of DC who handled the situation very poorly. Real shame, as I'm sure GH would have seen more games if he'd stayed though perhaps not have been so wealthy.

Not really bothered personally.  I’m only bothered about Wednesday and us doing well.

For George Hirst it is a make or break season.  What is he made of?  We will see when the season gets underway.
