George Hirst back in business

Recommended Posts

I wish him well ( except against us )

The statistic that really surprised me was that he played 32 games for Rotherham last season and didn’t score once….or was even credited for an assist !!

That’s lean pickings for a striker.

No goals in 31 Championship appearances last season.

He’ll be 23 by the end of this season.

Massive season for him, if he fails to score goals in League 1 then a career in the lower leagues awaits.

Or working for Hermes. The company that never delivers when they are supposed to. A bit like George.

Not really bothered personally.  I’m only bothered about Wednesday and us doing well.

For George Hirst it is a make or break season.  What is he made of?  We will see when the season gets underway.

Yep key move for him this one.

Joining Portsmouth is a smart move tho best one of his career so far.

TBF he got as many as Marriott, Harris, Kachunga and Harris combined last season. As did you and I.

Another interesting fact, but I wanted to keep this thread solely about GH (and myself)
