CircleSeven Posted July 8, 2021 Share Posted July 8, 2021 Italy have been excellent this tournament in many respects and are formidable opponents. The speed at which they break is frighting, particularly given out central defenders are not exactly the quickest. I think we are going to have to be cautious with how we use our fullbacks. Walker and Shaw and fast but if they are up top when the Italians break we could be in trouble. They are also masters of shîthousery and are more than capable of getting our players sent off. That said, the loss of Spinazolla was a big blow to them and they showed some real vulnerability against the Spanish. We have a very mobile attack and will cause the Italians problems, particularly in the way we can keep changing the attack over the course of the game. Being at home must help us but the Italians have much more big game experience. All in all it’s as close as it gets to call this one. Luck will undoubtedly play a role in the end.
