Germany maybe as well - not as strong this tournament but they always come through England QF at best. Turkey got a few players that can cause issues. Looking forward to England, especially against Scotland. Don't want to worry anybody, but it's bloody coming home innit. Win it and they play the runners up of F (france, germany, portugal or hungary) whereas if they come second they play the runners up of E (poland, spain, sweden or slavakia), but we will still end up playing the winner of F in the quarter finals so still not an easy route !! Been done to death, but yes on paper it would be easier. However, how can you guarantee second spot? Do we deliberately lose or draw the first game? What if we then batter Scotland but can't score and they get a last minute penalty? We would then need to beat the Czechs just to qualify. We could win our first 2 games but everyone else draws and we can only win the group even if we lose the last game. What if Spain come second? They seem to be having Covid issues at the moment which may affect them for the first game or two. Is the Quarters your objective? We'd have to play a difficult team at some point, and I'd rather be of the mindset of we will take anybody on who is in front of us, rather than being scared of anybody and it backfiring anyway.
