Reminder that there are TEN clubs under embargo - not just us ♥️

Thought it would have been more, all the clubs not getting parachute payments and who have no income if it is just about losses

How can Stoke who lost £89m last season be about to come off the list if it's about P&S? This must be about something else eg. Amortization of transfer fees?

But only us most likely in L1. So whilst other sides do deals with the better players we're left with the out of contract and frees. But as someone else posted, we were only ever likely to do that any how. Hence there's still a way to fall sadly.

What a bloody mess.

Possibly

It makes a mockery of the system to just keep the old system and embargo all the clubs tho

lol

You'd have thought they'd have updated to take into account the pandemic

Think having our points deduction reduced will have upset a few at the EFL

we need to be whiter than white for those clowns not to Throw the kitchen sink at us

what do we do........

........be the last team in the world to file our accounts

I don't think anyone at the EFL sits thinking of ways to have a go at us to be honest

EFL are are bunch of one-a-bes that abuse their power, they are like clueless dictators that over police.

I get having rules within our justice system but over ruling that is just ridiculous and does nothing for improving the game or the clubs

‘In the January window, with a couple of exceptions, it was mainly loans. While top players may move, Championship clubs will do well to get decent money for the players they’re already looking at selling.’

so yet again, those that are struggling and trying to balance the books get ripped off further...Whilst the Premiership failures drop down with extortionate amounts of money.. The game isfucked

Hardly a suprise considering income generated for the last 12 months has been almost £0

Not defending DC but it's hard to pin this totally on him, a global pandemic and a season without a fan being in the stadium won't have been thought of as a risk in many clubs financial planning.

Huddrsfield have come off and Stoke are expected to follow soon - as their penalties were for administrative reasons not financial

So we will be one of 8

Who cares whether we’re under an embargo now, as long as it’s lifted before the window reopens. We weren’t going to be spending money anyway, so with plenty of big earners going, there will be funds to replace them with frees and loanees.

Who cares?

Isn't this our 4th embargo for financial irregularities? And you 'don't care'??

Yes, and why no league one or two teams under embargo.... their finances must be equally shot?

Given the timing is around the time the EFL should be in receipt of the draft accounts (all clubs have to submit their projected losses and accounts before end of March) NOT FOR THIS SEASON, LAST SEASON, this is potentially even more worrying given we made a profit in the accounts after the adjustment of the stadium sale.

As it potentially means we lost even more money than we all assumed we would last season.

I very much doubt the embargo will be for THIS season - unless it is for the non-payment of players only. As the accounts for this season don't have to be with the EFL until March next year
