No offence taken at all my friend I 'kind of' understand what you're trying to say You're trying to say that people express opinions and yet nothing changes - which I get The bottom line is people will express opinions until the situation is resolved. It won't stop. If things don't change there will be more people expressing opinions on this situation The answer is Chansiri changes things up and becomes successful or he goes - absolutely nothing else will stop people expressing worries or concerns about the way the club is being run And rightly so 2 Owlstalk Shop

TINGLE75
I agree with all he is saying. Unfortunately nothing will change with this man in charge. The fact we are falling down into the depths of League 1 (again!) and we dont even have a proper manager in place to even try and stop the slide is very worrying. We hear nothing regarding any sort of plan or engagement. Yet no one is shocked by it. Wide spread apathy has set in I'm afraid.

Just to confirm too - as is always the case - someone hasn’t just come out and said something When these things happen it’s 99.9999% that they’re answering a question they’ve been asked Eg “what do you think of Sheffield Wednesday this season Chris?” Owlstalk Shop

The point being, having high profile people shine a light on the issues and situation is what we need more of, to keep piling the pressure on DC his 'advisor cronies' and the incompetent pen pushers at the club feeding his fragile ego.

Will it be another 2003-05 & 2010-12 with 20k plus sticking with the club, or will it fall off a cliff like the mid-70s? If ST holders delay or stop buying tickets and wait and see, his POTD prices will have to be significantly reduced. I can't anyone paying £40 to watch L1 football.

CalmJimmers
Whilst Turner wasn't a fantastic manager by any stretch of the imagination, he seems to be keyed into the off-field stuff. His recruitment was bang on when he was here, just couldn't get a tune out of them If not exactly him, he's the type of person we should be employing to guide the strategy of the club. Gates will struggle to get past 15k imo ...fans have had enough...20 plus years we waited for a rich owner to come along and kill the club...you couldn't make our luck up, fans will stay away I think after this.

Popular Post Glenn59
What he says is spot on. Neil knows me and what I do for a living. For a few years the club across town have been one of my clients. And I'll say they are light years ahead of us in terms of off the pitch activities, fan liason etc. They have bought into the community and built up a very good reputation in that way. They have a lot of events that are not football related but linked to charities etc and have put on some great events. Match day the fans are made welcome, they have a fan area for families to take kids to before the match, kids first games they take the families on a mini tour before the match, pics in the dugout etc. Not massive things but a great way of winning people over and getting them onboard. I don't think we do anything at all that makes fans, or customers, feel welcome. That is the tip of the iceberg and it saddens me that we simply treat people as someone to walk up, pay their money, then go home. When I've done work for them they have been a superb set up to work for, and yes they know who I support but there are a number of Owls fans working there full time, and yes we have some banter but they are good to deal with, pay their bills on time etc. I was asked to do a half days work at S6 and they thought a couple of tickets for the kop would do as payment. Job nevcer happened. Another mate of mine did some work and it took nearly a year to get paid! Sadly we are a million miles behind them and seemingly doing nothing to correct this 11
Popular Post poite
He's spot on. I have no interest in going and as a result my son won't be either. He's 6 this year and at the age where his connection with the club should really start to flourish. Unfortunately it won't. But to be clear its not about the fact we are down at the bottom. We've been this was for pretty much the entirety of the past 20 years so there's no expectations of seeing top level football with giants of Europe. The most damaging thing is Chansiri's running of the club and his exploitation of fans who have been so loyal for so long. It's not our club anymore, it's not a community club anymore. It's a dying club that has been dragged through the dirty further and further into its grave yet is treated like it's at the pinnacle of its existence competing with the elite of world football. I will always support this club and want it to be successful but as things are now I'm unwilling to commit anything other than my wishes or a comment on these boards to show for it. I'm not proud to support us anymore. I just feel I and many others are now to disconnected for that. It's very dark times at this club and fear that it will only get worse whist this owner continues to destroy us. I just can't see the way out. 7 1
boomshaketheroom
The problem I have with us as fans is we won't protest, we won't boycott going to games. We just bend over and take it.
